Entertainment Weekly confirms our exclusive breaking news that Robert De Niro and Michelle Rodriguez would be topling Robert Rodriguez's Machete alongside Danny Trejo as the title character, a report some readers called "fan fiction" - welcome to reality. The sad news is that Jonah Hill will NOT be taking on a role as we previously reported. Although, EW confirms/adds that Lindsay Lohan, Steven Seagal, Jessica Alba, Don Johnson and Cheech Marin have al been locked into the film being helmed by Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis. Machete is a Mexican (Trejo) ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator (De Niro). darn, I was really looking forward to Jonah Hill in this. It's still gonna be great though. Can't believe Machete could be anyone's least favorite trailer, Rob Zombie's was really weak.
This movie is gonna kick ass. I'm glad Jonah Hill isn't going to be in it. I like him, but he would have been distracting in this. I just can't believe Seagal is gonna be in this. That's sweet.
Its definitely gonna be one of Robert's BEST ones EVER, I was iffy on Jonah Hill but was willing to see how he did but now that he's not gonna do it, makes it better for me at-least.
well i was looking forward to seeing this but not now now that don johnson...steven seagal...lindsay lohan are going to help fuck it up a movie that had a awesome idea just went south my guess its going right to dvd
How is no one pumped up to see Don "Sonny Crockett" Johnson in this! And of course to see Seagul on the big screen...it's been years for him. Seems like he has a DTV movie at Blockbuster every freaking week now...lol. This will kick ass!!!
Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, and Stephen Segal? This is going to be fucking epic!
