Bloody-Disgusting is on top of their game this morning as we not only got Milla Jovovich to break the news that she will be toplining Resident Evil 4: Afterlife, but we also got David Twohy to spill the beans on his newly planned R-rated spin-off to Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, along with details on the Ridley Scott produced supernatural thriller Crying Havoc. Read on for the skinny and check out A Perfect Getaway in theaters August 7th.

During an exclusive interview with Bloody-Disgusting this morning, David Twohy confirmed that he and Vin Diesel are indeed discussing a RIDDICK sequel and they are hoping to find a way to return to the R-rated origins of the series. "I’ve sketched out two ideas for continuing RIDDICK, one of which Vin and I have settled in on," Twohy tells BD. "At the studio level, it would have to be a PG-13 movie again and we don’t want to do that again. We want an R, so we are looking at the possibility of setting it up as an independent movie and selling it territory by territory and thereby keeping an ownership stake in the movie. But we’re trying to see what that would yield in this unsafe market..."

"So we’re trying to figure out what that number is and if we can make the movie that we want to make for that number. It’s a complicated formula."

If the stars should align just right financially for a RIDDICK sequel, Twohy says he’d be up for going into production as early as 2010. "It could be my next movie. I know Vin’s going to slide in XXX first. He’s doing a sequel to that the first of the year. So the soonest we could launch would be sometime next year."

Twohy has also finished another script for a thriller that could go next. "[My next movie] could be a supernatural thriller called CRYING HAVOC that Ridley Scott would produce and I would direct. It’s about an FBI agent who uses technology to track a spy across the world only to learn that the spy is more of a demon than a man. That chase leads our FBI agent into the lower circles of hell, at least psychologically speaking. I think it’s a very cool supernatural thriller with a lot of great visuals to it. That’s already written and that could pop next. Ridley has been shepherding that project along."

Either way, RIDDICK remains close to Twohy’s heart. He encouraged by the fan enthusiasm for the project and hopes he gets the chance to continue that series soon. "I get a lot of e-mail about RIDDICK," says Twohy. "I think there’s an audience for it, but you never know. I’ve probably gotten two thousand e-mails on it, but if only two thousand people show up at the theater, you know? But we think about it, we think about it a lot."

We’ll have more from Twohy on his latest thriller, A PERFECT GETAWAY, next week.

Hope so. The RIDDICK game was bad ass & brutal. If they do something like that I think it has potential. Didn't the 1st Riddick suppose 2 originally been Rated R?

Love the character and the idea's twohy has and Chronicles of Riddick still has it's plus points, so yeah I'm up for another Riddick vehicle and going down the R route is always a good sign of not dumbing down. I suppose as long as the effects are an after thought and the characters and script are flushed out first, it should be cool

Wow! Another Riddick movie! Now I am really going to kill myself. Where to start I dont know whats a worse idea for another sequel riddick, resident evil, or XXX. God damn! What the hell is wrong with all of you fuckers. Beside the fact that the Chronicles of Riddick is not a horror movie and we shouldnt even be talking about this piece of shit movie in here. Oh yeah and by the way IT DOES SUCKS, all of them. You dumb shits have no idea what a good movie is! So all of you that like these shitty movies do the world a favor and dont leave your house. Please just stay inside and make out with your star trek action figures while you watch the the Pacifier.

Attention all shits and fucks: No Name Dude has spoken! I guess if No Name Dude says it sucks it must suck. Whether it be Resident Evil 4, Jennifer's Body, or Riddick it all sucks (oh, except classics like Bundy). That is all. Thank you.

Personally I thought that pitch black was ok, not enough of the creatures tho. C.o.r sucked ass, and vin diesel is, in MY opinion, one of the worst actors ever. I could do without another ridDICK movie, altho id prob check it out when it comes on network t.v. I would'nt pay to see vin diesel in anything other than a snuff film!

I like vin alot, as and actor, but dude fast and furious was the biggest fuckin waste of my time ever... It was in ranks with the 2nd one as the worst CGI flick next to the shitty CGI in spiderman. And please go indie... that will be good. And I am so happy Milla is doing RE again...She's so hot I have had a crush on her since I was like 10 seein her in my fav movie of all time Return to the blue lagoon. yes I love that movie. And its funny becus I love so many movies with people getting raped and murder and torn to bits...

Pitch black was a kick ass sci-fi/horror film. Riddick cut back on the horror and no, it wasn`t a great movie, but it is an enjoyable rainy day popcorn flick. I would watch another one. XXX...no. No Name Dude...damn...who shit in your cheerios this morning? I think someone is teething.

XXX Niceeeeeeeeeeeeee. I'm not a fan of Vin but i do love that first xxx. it was just good fun. and asia agrento is so hot in that film. my only problem is it was not rated R. Hope the next one is. as for more riddick. meh. never cared much for those films. too much money was given to them. and to much cgi. the more you do in camera the more scary. when will they learn?

XXX 3 will fail, have any of you lot heard the plot, which is good but apparently the dialogue is very cheesey, Latino Review apparently got the oppourtunity to read and review the script..........and yeah he did apparently die according to the director's cut, but that ain't canonical to the story..................Looking forward to the return of Riddick though

poor guy, going back to XXX after Ice Cube butchered the hell out of it... same as him going back to that terrible franchise Fast & Furious... guess the man needs money!!! But now Riddick I am happy about... by far his best character; Pitch Black was an incredible movie and even with its flaws, Chronicles was a really fun watch. R-rated continuation of it?!?! briing it ooon!!

Chronicles of Riddick & Pitch Black are awesome imo. Riddick is not a horror flick, but its an awesome action movie - personally, i would love to see another one.

CJ, I couldn't agree more! I'm not a Vin fan as a rule, but he's actually pretty damn good in these. So finally, some good news.

Pitch black was way better than chronicles, if they can bring it back to simply giving Riddick a nice plot tp work with I'm all for it. XXX is crap.

I will see it if it stars Osama Bin Diesel
