Before you head into theaters this Friday, why not read our exclusive one-on-one chat with Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, the dynamic duo behind Freestyle Releasing's slasher The Collector (review). In the interview you'll learn about how the film came to be, how they got past the brutal MPAA and how quickly the film went into production. This is one not to miss! Dunstan and Melton's genre credits include Saw IV-VII and all three Feast films. For more on The Collector, along with the review, click the title above.
This movie looks like it'll be quite badass.
On Saw: My question is, if everything's going to be pretty and neat and tied with a ribbon at the end of Saw VI, then why's there a VII? I'm just confused as to why there's going to be a VII if there's no "Here we go again!" moment at the end. I love the Saw series and all, but if they're going to start making them for the sake of making them, then it's just gratuitous and does nothing for the overall moral of the story.
MetalMachine... They've BEEN making the SAW movies for the sake of money since Jigsaw died. This movie, THE COLLECTOR still doesn't sit very well with me. I want a new memorable slasher, not another torture mastermind. This is way too much like SAW.
