Finally getting a DVD release on October 6 from Sony Home Entertainment is Dark Country. This one was supposed to go theatrical in 3-D. Thomas Jane (HBO's "Hung," The Punisher) stars in and makes his directorial debut with this suspenseful horror thriller. Also starring Lauren German (Hostel: Part II) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy II: The Golden Army). Check out the trailer premiere beyond the break, along with a new synopsis.
In the film two honeymooners rescue a mysterious car crash survivor in the Las Vegas desert. But their decision to save the man becomes increasingly regrettable when he turns on them, forcing the newlyweds to do the unthinkable. In a blur of paranormal chaos, the couple must take drastic measures to cover up their actions from the local police, ultimately leading each character to an inescapable fate.
This looks pretty awesome, I love everything Tom Jane is in and I'm glad he is directing such an interesting thing, wish it would've made it to theatres though. Chris Browning is the bad guy in this, he is also in Denzel Washington's new flick as a bad guy.
After the mist I'm a bit of a TJ fan as his acting was terrific and I'm kinda sold on the movie if Ron Pearlman is in it as well. He's always good value
Thomas Jane is awesome; a really free and "out there" actor. From the preview it looks as though he has an artistic vision too of the way a movie should look.
Will definitely get it on DVD.
