Website 24FPS is reporting that director Mikkel Sandemose is prepping to begin lensing a prequel to Fritt Vilt this September, with plans on releasing the film in theaters October of 2010. They cite no source or confirmation to the fact but Twitch film discovered the following on Sandemose's Twitter feed. "Packages UK with winter clothes and wellies for a new round of FV3 locations. Norway can offer most of the wind and weather, also in June." There ya have it. Read on for details on the first Norwegian film, along with the trailer.
Five teenage snowboarders are forced to spend the night in a mysteriously abandoned ski lodge. Except somebody – or something – already lives there. It is huge, savage and unstoppable…and now it’s pissed off. But if you think this is going to be the usual ‘trapped teens stalked by a maniac’ movie, you’re dead wrong: From the first chilling kill to the final horrific twist, prepare yourself for the smart, intense and award-winning European sensation that has terrified audiences around the world and put the edge back into the body-count genre.
I loved the first. But wish the second would come out in the U.S already. I'm tired of waiting. As for a prequel. I'm glad they are trying to add back story to this. I'm sure it'll be just as tense and eerie. Hopefully they give a U.S release at least coinciding with other countries. and not get it last.
i fucking LOVE COLD PREY 1&2! the movies pulled a surprise for me and a rarity in that part 2 was even better than the first one was (and that's saying something because i thought the first part was AWESOME!). not to bash the original HALLOWEEN II but COLD PREY 2 is EVERYTHING the orig HALLOWEEN II should've been. it's creepy, intense, AMAZINGLY acted etc, etc,(not that H II didn't have these things, it's just that CP2 did it better!).
