We got our hands on the working synopsis for Mother's Day, which is being directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II-IV, Repo) from a screenplay by Scott Milam. Three brothers on the run from the law head for home, only to discover that their mother lost the house in a foreclosure. Mother ingeniously orchestrates her sons' escape, teaching the house's new owners and their guests a few lessons along the way. Shooting is set to begin this September in Manitoba, Canada. Casting is underway.
Agreed Matthew, it won't be as crazy as the Troma version. I think there is a lot of potential with this though, and Darren Lynn Bousman could do an awesome job.
I'm not sure about this ? The Troma original had a good plot that worked. I don't see why it needs to be changed so much ? This was my same problem I had with the FRIDAY remake, they changed it too much.
