Major Box Office Adjustments, 'Elm Street,' Others on the Move!

Warner Bros. Pictures made a ton of adjustments with their upcoming genre slate, staring with their reboot of A Nightmare on Elm Street, which arrives in theaters April 30, 2010, two weeks later than originally slated. Their Megan Fox starring Western Jonah Hex will now arrive in cinemas June 18, 2010, a whopping two months earlier than it's original August date (this shows confidence in the film!). Lastly, their Dark Castle thriller The Factory has been bumped two months to a January 28, 2011 release, which is a solid date for a genre flick. Good moves altogether. As usual, click any title above for more info on each film.

Two weeks LATER for Nightmare? That blows. I wish it would come out sooner.

Now we have to wait longer for Nightmare? As if it wasn't long enough already. Geez. I know it's only two weeks, but if they keep tweaking it like that it's gonna be further down the road. Why do they need so much post-production on this? It better be damn good.

That pisses me off so much. Now it's gonna be even longer til we get to see Freddy on the big screen again. I could be a f'ing father before this movie comes out.

They're probably planning on doing some extensive reshoots given the fact that a lot of people don't like the script. I bet there will be a ton CGI in the film as well.

the producers already said the script that is on the internet is the not the script for the film it was a very early leaked draft

Actually Nevermind, Platinum Dunes have a habit of doing this, with all their production. I believe it is a marketing tool to see how well received the script actually is to the fans...The draft i read is slated as Jan 19th 2009, i don't see them having evnough time to create a whole new redraft especially with the fact that they got all the finance and production money in place and no where its going...They did this with Amityville, TCM and Friday, and although the Amityville and Friday ones were very bad received by fans, they still stated the script were inaccurate when in fact the leaked scripts were the finished final filming drafts

There is always enough time to create a new redraft. NUFF SAID! Now I'm even more excited that Elm Street arrives in theaters April 30th, two days after my birthday. The most perfect birthday gift ever.

I wonder why so many people at this site work themselves up for movies that have 6-10 sequels already? I'm more excited when they announce a movie based on a novel. Anyway, the "original Nightmare" was good...but not great...so this might be a cool remake.
