Below you'll find your very first look at the title treatment (logo) for Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema and Platinum Dunes' A Nightmare on Elm Street reboot, which arrives in theaters April 16, 2010. Also, keep your eyes peeled to MySpace tomorrow for the first ever image of Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger! The films' premise centers on Krueger (Jackie Earle Haley), a serial child molester murdered by angry parents, who returns with a burnt face and a razor glove to terrorize teens in their dreams.

The original text is legendary, much like the original "Friday the 13th" font. Platinum Dunes has now made "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," "Friday the 13th," and "A Nightmare On Elm Street" logos with horribly boring fonts. WHY?!

Meh to the new logo, but intrigued to see how Freddy will now look.

LAMEO>... hope the movie isn't LAMEO. I have to hand it to dunes though. They make good remakes, and make shitty actual movies. Horseman, unborn.

Will you people stop complaining, the text is fine why don't you just sit back and enjoy a movie, who cares if it is a remake. Stop being so uptight I bet people will come here tomorrow and complain about Freddies look too

.........really people? Its a logo. No one sees a movie for a logo, if it were a poster MAYBE i could understand. If people start bitching about how this will reflect on the movie itself that proves how stupid and narrow minded people are towards movies nowadays.

BTW it looks fine! nothing to cheer about because its JUST a logo....

i just thought of a logo, have that paper with the big spaces between like you use in first grade, then have the title written like a kid wrote it and have like blood spots on it or something i think that would be cool, but like I said before I dont care for a logo, I just care for getting a kick ass movie.

It's just a logo people. What we should be stressing over is what our boy Krueger is going to look like. Can't wait till tomorrow !

I don't care about the logo, but like everyone else has said Freddy himself and according to this piece on slashfilm he's suppose to look effing AMAZING so color me excited now. Link - http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/07/21/set-visit-preview-a-nig htmare-on-elm-street/ Peace Out !

Seriously? People actually care about a fucking logo? I know that many others, who do have good sense, have said this all before me, but why the hell are you letting this so-called horrible text bum you out? The only thing that should bum you out is the final one sheet, if it is horrible, or if the look of Freddy is exactly the same and nothing scary and intense is added to his image. The text is fine the way it is and does not need to be changed. Besides, this is just a preview of what is yet to come. So quit moaning about something that is not even finalized.

But, I can't wait for the new Freddy pics tomorrow. Now that I think of it, I wonder what Jackie Earle Haley's voice as Freddy will sound like, considering how they changed Robert Englund's voice in all the other films and because his voice as Rorschach in Watchmen is pretty creepy.

The more I look at this logo the more I like. It reminds me of the boiler room

The logo is kind of boring. It just doesn't pop out at you like the original did.

No more! That ugly font is the last straw...this film is now dead to me! If the person in the art department can't get the logo right, then everybody else involved in this production will fail!

The logo is fine, I just hope they lay it on a cool ass poster ala the original through to part 5. They all had great stylized posters that almost became signature to the series. Kinda lost it after there. Although New Nightmare had a cool menacing poster also. It'd just be nice to see something a little different to the dark posters of late, maybe even a bit of a homeage to the original posters. In any case, looking forwards to the new flick, should be a great horrorcoaster ride \m/

if you dont want people to bitch about a logo, dont post the logo, simple as that. all content posted by websites for people have the right to let people masturbate or bitch to the postings

It seems right for Nightmare. Please don't bitch about the logo it's only the trailer.

Just keep repeating to yourself: "It's just a logo, it's just a logo. it's just a logo". RELAX! Who frickin' cares. If you don't see this flick because you don't like the logo, which has no bearing on a movie, well then I'm not sure why you come to this site...
