Last week we brought you the crème de la crème of horror scoops as we reported that Jonah Hill, Michelle Rodriguez and Robert De Niro were all rumored to be taking on roles alongside Danny Trejo in Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis' Machete, their feature length adaptation of Rodriguez's faux trailer from Grindhouse. Today we've got our first piece of confirmation (sort of) as Collider chatted with Jonah Hill, who confirms that he is in facts a name floating around the film. In fact, he says he's reading the script TONIGHT. You can watch the video interview beyond the break, and like promised, I dedicate this post to "UltimateToronto.com", who called the news "fan fiction at best."
Machete (Trejo) is a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator (De Niro). The film was teased as a faux trailer that was directed by Robert Rodriguez in Dimension Films' Grindhouse, which featured a full-length film from both Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino.
