I guess I better add this to our database because according to Variety, Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan are already hard at work on Saw VII. After breaking onto the scene with Project Greenlight's Feast, the duo have co-written Saw IV-VI, the entire Feast trilogy, and will see their The Collector - directed by Dunstan - arrive in theaters July 31. Lionsgate's Saw VI, which was directed by long time editor Kevin Greutert, arrives in theaters October 23rd.

Is this the 3-D one?

I wanna see the sixth first before I decide whether it's a good thing to do another! Part IV & V weren't too good so I hope VI is an improvement! I just hope the fact that Shawnee is in it will elevate it because it hasn't been the same without her :(

I thought I saw somewhere six was supposed to be the last? If they want to keep the sequels coming, they need to have atleast a couple years between films.

damn. can't they let the 6th one come out and suck first before making the next one.

Oh my.. This indeed needs to die. The original feast movie was gold. The sequels blew serious black cock. And I agree. Jigsaw died in 3. The killer the movies are based around seemed to have created enough plot for an additional 4 more movies. WTF!

Despite not really caring about the films past part 3, you have to admit, Saw the new horror mega-franchise, just like NOES, Halloween and Ft13 were during their runs. And despite all the complaints, people are STILL paying to see each new installment. But yeah, Jigsaw is probably the ONLY horror legend to game mass popularity within the past 10 years. The point being, he's the lone contender from the 2000s, and since everybody else is too busy doing remakes, no one's taking their chances to create other original horror characters in hopes to topple Jigsaw's popularity. So, as far as I'm concerned, he deserves that spot and hell, keep those sequels coming!

no offense i'd rather have ANY remake than another SAW movie. but i respect the fact that many people STILL like them. it just pisses me off that they will make ANOTHER bad SAW film (hopefully this would be better because SHAWNEE is returning and she RULES!) and films like TRICK R TREAT get dicked over.
