Rob Zombie has unloaded another batch of behind-the-scenes stills from Halloween II that feature a bunch of the cast and crew getting comfortable on set in Georgia this past summer. While I love seeing images from films, I almost feel like too many can take you right out of a movie. I guess time will tell as Dimension Films takes Michael Myers back to theaters on August 28th.
Duanne Whitaker, Betsy Rue and Mark Boone Jr. go looking for trouble.
Editor Glenn Garland (right) looks on as (L to R) DP Brandon Trost, Scout and RZ study the last take.
I still am wondering why sherie moon is still in this movie.. shes dead. im wondering how rombie will accomplish fitting her in without totally blowing the film
Sheri looks SO pretty in that pic! her look in this pic looks better than how it translated on the trailer/teaser. and it's ALWAYS awesome to see the terrific BETSY RUE (Irene from MBV3D) and Mark Boone Jr (the loner nice guy from 30 DAYS OF NIGHT)!!! i'm thinking they are 3 additional kills or something? it says they are out looking for trouble and they probably find it in MICHAEL!! cool!
the dummy MICHAEL is probably from the scene where they are lifting a "dead" Michael in to the coroner's van (Tyler is probably 200 something pounds!!)
yeah... but the dummy looks kinda fake. My guess is that now that Michael is some sort of an icon in the RZH world (hence the "DEVIL WALKS AMONG US" book...), there might be some kind of play on him at the Halloween bash. Just a thought though.
Don't understand why RZ got rid of Phil Parmet the last DP. The look of the last film was not the problem. My friend work with this dp and said he is really good. Also he said that the dp said he's not a horror fan only did it for the check.. But in this economy who could blame him. Even if your not a fan I don't see someone not giving it their all when there name is on it. So im pretty sure he did a good job. It's funny how you guys are crying over sherri zombie and me the DP. Just lets you know how many different people can fuck up a film... Or make it better
DogCarcass, the dummy will probably be filmed at night (being carried away to the coroner's van or smething). also NO ONE (character-wise) would be able to make a fake MM dummy for the bash that looked THAT much like him. no one has been that close in order to get the exact detail of the mask and his look.
these pics are great cant wait for this film...finally something new is being brought to the halloween films and hopefully this film changes everyones ideas on rob zombie...i stand by what i say that i enjoyed RZH better than the original
I think that Mr. Parmet did not return because he had ideas that did not fit the direction Mr. Zombie wanted to take. I believe they had some disagreements on #1 because RZ wanted a rougher look while Mr. Parmet went for a more polished look. As to Sheri's character, my understanding is that she is not actually a presence but more a figment of M.M.'s twisted mind. I think she is a fine actress and will bring something quite interesting to this flick. I'm counting the days until 8-28.
@halloweencheif: Rob has said in interviews that while he got along great with Phil Parmet on The Devil's Rejects, they did nothing but fight on H1. He said that was one of the many things that made the first movie so hard to make, so he went with a different DP this time.
I'm guessing the dummy could be a prop, it's always nice to see Betsy Rue (PLEASE TAKE IT ALL OFF AGAIN!!!!), Sherri does look great in that photo, and the second photo is nothing to see. So overall I like most of the pictures.
Your not suppose to get along with everyone at your workplace..Thats called being a grown up.Phil probably was mad because he had to hear that shitty dialogue take after take. He should've told rob to set his own lights.
Awesome that someone else noticed Mark Boone, Jr. on the far right in that first pic. Looked up his profile on IMDb and there's no mention of him starrtig in Zombie's upcoming picture, but there's no mistaking Mark Boone. Boone's a consumate proffesional, and elevates any movie sequence he chances to appear in. Saw him in person once when Steve Buscemi was filming the Liv Tyler vehicle 'Lonesome Jim' in my hometown of Goshen, Indiana...
