i think the movie was OK. I was happier with the main part of the movie, but was very unhappy with the villians. It was a weak route to make them look so human.

ghost rider blew TBH

Please no Nicolas Cage in next GHOST RIDER movie. This is a movie that does need a re-boot. GHOST RIDER should had been more like HELLBOY with awesome monsters and action! Guillermo Del Toro would direct a great GHOST RIDER film. And get Jensen Ackles to do the Dan Ketch storyline. Just my two cents.

i love Cage, i think when he tries he is one of the best actors out there, but he needs to stop picking scripts with a blind-fold on. he does waaaaay too many movies and 9 out of 10 of them are terrible. same goes for sam L. jackson. don't do another ghostrider movie cage, let it go and pretend like it never happened!!!

i didnt mind Nic Cage, but the movie was pretty bad. for him to want to go international and do something with the catholic church (ala Da Vinci) sounds more like something he would do with another one of his characters: Ben Gates from National Treasure. its almost like Nic is confusing the characters he plays. i told my brother about this and he said Sam Elliot could then come back as a medieval knight. you have to at least take solace in the idea that even the guys behind the movie know they screwed up (better late then never).

Mav07 I couldnt agree more he is a great actor when he tries. He's fantastic in drama's it's action movies that he sucks ass in most of the time. To me I think he would be so much better as the villian in somethin rather than the hero. He's quirky and akward thats what makes for a great villian not so much a hero.

I don't have much faith in this. Ghost Rider was terrible and Nic Cage seems content on pissing away his once decent career.

They already did re-concieve ghost rider with the first time. They reconcieved it as a safe, stupid, hollywoodized, neutered, inferior, soulless version of everything the comic book was. All they basically did was keep the motorcycle, a couple names, the flaming skull and threw everything else out the window. And Ill say it, cage fucking sucked in that movie, he actually made it worse just being in it. At the start of his acting career he was pretty good and had good parts, and every time he makes a new movie the quality of the movie itself and his acting both are reduced and it never gets better, always worse. Seriously look at his filmography and youll see a perpetual decline.

Ghost rider was absolute nonsense. Seriously, if they make another one, who, besides obvious fans, would go and stomach a part two?

No Nic Cage! and no villians that are killed off so quickly, if they are gonna go in a new direction they need to definitely re-cast Johnny Blaze and make Blackheart look more like he did in the comic not like a human

simple answer to the woeful that was ghost rider. look at the directors track record, cant get any more disappointing then his previous efforts as director and writer. Johnson showed a real love and interest for the character in the 'making of' featurette, but something tells me his not cut out for for this genre.

Horrible idea. Ghost Rider always had a western theme. From the moment the character was conceived old west/cowboy themes were heavily involved in the storylines and development. Johnny Blaze was portrayed as a redneck hick in the earliest Marvel comics. Sure, the first film could have been a lot stronger but its failures have more to do with bad casting and bad direction than with the western elements.

Not so much CGI yeah, lets actualy set his head on fire! what a sequal that would not be!

I'd like to see it rebooted too...no Nic Cage, R rated. Ghost Rider is one of the most kick ass adult ''monsters'' marvel has. Look at Ennis' excellent trail of tears comic to see what can be achieved. I also agree with rhyan, the whole western thing is a big part of ghostrider, and one of the few things the movie did right.

Bottom line is is this: some comics just don't translate well. That's just the way it is. Ghost Rider and Spawn are two prime examples of that. Don't even get me started on Hellbzazer/Constantine. Studios just won't make them dark enough to make it work. You can't completely blame Nic Caqe, but he does shoulder some of it.
