Update: Three Sales One Sheets For 'Let the Right One In' Remake, Audition Tapes!

While we've been reporting for quite some time that the remake to Let the Right One In was retitled to Let Me In, it was finally confirmed this morning as three pieces of promo sales art was discovered, all confirming the shorter title. In the film being directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield), Oscar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl who turns out to be a vampire. Overture Films is producing the remake of the Swedish vampire drama that most felt deserved an Oscar nom.

Sorry, posters removed by request of Hammer Films!

Those kids look reeeeally young.

Hollywood is so fucking lame.

Hopefully they stay young and Matt Reeves doesn't 'teenify' this.

"from the director of Cloverfield..." isn't going to sell it, sorry. Matter of fact, unless they totally butcher it, you're basically taking an audience's expectation of a big monster movie and giving them what's suppose to be a "quiet" horror film--and they will hate it as a result. Not to mention the director, Matt Reeves, hasn't done anything to deserve a fan base. "Ohhhh! I can't wait for the next Matt Reeves film to come out!!"

Why wouldn't she have footprints??? Is this some new vampire power I'm not aware of?

No. No. No. And what's up with the new title?

why remake a perfectly awesome movie.. cause some people hate subtitles? that's bullshit..

i agree w/ Blood-Sicles. these children (granted they are most likely the one's in the film) are REALLY young. in the original (as we all know) O & E were about 12/13 (although Eli was a LOT older! LOL). and i know it's just a title but i HATE the change. what is the big deal (since it's a remake) in keeping it LET THE RIGHT ONE IN?

djblack1313
2:02pm, July 14, 2009

oops i meant "most likely NOT the one's in the movie". lol.

You cannot improve on as close to perfection as a movie gets. BD and others refer to Eli as a girl. Not true. Eli had his gentitals removed by a sexual sadist.

It doesnt bode well, first the change of title, what next? Make it about baby werewolves?

I hope that there isn't any vomit inducing camera shots like in Cloverrated... Doesn't matter, I've already seen the original and I loved it. Why would I see this remake???

What is with the "Hammer Presents"? Is that the newly ressurrected Hammer films?

Three password-protected audition tapes have been privately put online at aol.com. Mary Mouser, Ariel Winter, and Chloe Moretz audition tapes for the role of "Abby". Abby is the new name for Eli.

rofl ultrazilla2000...maybe it's because she can fly??? who knows.

2:45pm, July 14, 2009

eh I personally didn't care for the original. I just watched it last week. Maybe the American version will be better? HAHAH...wait a sec...ya...

gutmuncher
2:46pm, July 14, 2009

Yeah Im guessing the no foot prints is a reference to her maybe flying. Also noted above, this is basicaly set to fail as "The_Bark" said. I mean that from the director of cloverfield shit is going to back fire becaues people are going to expect some crazy flick and then when they find out its more story/drama than anything they'll say it sucked and there was no blood and guts and whatever. "Let me in"...come on

oh but I do like the posters. They are nice and stark looking.

HatchetFace

agree with everyone here... keep in mind tho that they are not official. I actually like the first and third poster, granted they need to take off 'from the director of cloverfield'... I especially like the third one...

btw the name change, that was the original title of the book so dont complain

Skratchy

I'm cool with all this. It could work. Matt Reeves is a good director and they've got an interesting style here. It's not all Twilight-ified or anything. I wasn't a big fan of the original though. So I'd like to see someone else's take on it.

Big Bad Wolf
3:59pm, July 14, 2009

I have three audition tapes for the role of Abby. Contact me for more info.

It's actually an alright poster. Of course, just like everyone here, I'm kind of upset about them remaking it in the first place. And yes, they do look really freakin' young compared to the original. Oh well, just keep watching LTROI and forget about this garbage!

Some of you don't understand that this is a foreign SALES Poster. Putting "From the Director of Cloverfield" is a smart thing because that movie made money all over the world, and if you're trying to attract buyers for foreign sales, you want to show them that you've made a successful film in the past.
