For those of you who have yet to see this, one of the best short horror films of 2008 is now online for your enjoyment, courtesy of Twitch Film. Entitled Treevenge, Jason Eisener's incredible short making the festival rounds details the experiences and horrifying reality of the lives of Christmas trees. Clearly, for trees, Christmas isn’t the exciting “peace on earth” that is experienced by most. After being hacked down, and shipped away from their homes, they quickly become strung up, screwed into an upright position for all to see, exposed in a humiliation of garish decorations. But this Christmas will be different, this Christmas the trees have had enough, this Christmas the trees will fight back. Treevenge could be a short film about the end of days for Christmas trees, or perhaps, the end of humanity? WATCH IT!
I am so happy you guys put this on here... this is fuckin beyond amazing. This shall lie in there with horror greats craven, romero, mark my words. This is filmmaking at it's best. The kid stomping was fuckin beautiful go ahead call me a sick fuck. I don't give two shits. At least they got the balls to do something like that.
great short film. Finchy, there is a little thing called BUILD UP and the first ten minutes or so made me never want a christmas tree again. power to the trees! and FUCK CHRISTMAS!!!
