David Naughton, Griffin Dunne and Jenny Agutter star in this contemporary story of the macabre which takes you from the Welsh moors to Picadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and the grounds of Windsor Castle. It is written and directed by John Landis, the man who brought you National Lampoon’s Animal House, The Blues Brothers, Trading Places, and Coming to America. I own the HDDVD of this (yes I own an XBOX360) and the video quality on it is just slightly better than the DVD. The press release doesn't mention anything about a newly remastered print, so I'm expecting the same video quality as the HDDVD (hell, probably even the same encode if they are really cheap.) But I have to say that 100-minute documentary sounds good. I'm a sucker for any documentary that features Rick Baker talking about his work.

I saw a rough cut of Paul Davis' feature-length documentary BEWARE THE MOON last year, and John Landis was very pleased with it. Rightly so, as it's the best 'making of' documentary about a horror film that I've seen since JAWS. Almost everyone involved has been interviewed and the behind-the-scenes stories are almost as entertaining as the movie itself.
