Seriously, how can you not be excited for Piranha 3D, the Alex Aja (High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes, Mirrors) directed remake that's guaranteed to be loaded with tits, ass and mothr-f*ckin' blood! Today a slew of new behind-the-scenes images found their way online and are going to blow you away, dig on 'em inside. Dimension Films has slated the film for release on March 19, 2010.
Can't wait for this movie.... not really a remake for the most part but hey if Aja wants to do a reimagining of Jaws I'd watch it... can't remake the classic but at some point someone will make another shark movie.... maybe we'll get an actual movie about a dolphin with rabies like the faux movie made in "One Crazy Summer"
Can't compare a remake of Pirannah to Jaws as I believe it's the chemistry of the cast that made that movie wonderful. Really looking fwd to this one - effects look great!
definitely stoked. and with the right talent behind it, i'd def support some sort of jaws sequel or 're-boot.' anything to get those movies back in theatres. it would have to have 0 camp factor, though.
I don't know, I am not really excited for this one. Probably because most Aja's films thus far have all been lackluster. The only one that was really any good was High Tension, but to this day I still feel insulted by the ending.
i just checked out the pic of the girl (or what WAS a girl) in the green bikini.......WOW!! now THAT is fucking nasty (in a wonderful way!!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Lethal pirahnas have taken over the water! What shall we do?" How bout not going in the water. But, seriously, I want to see some major blood and carnage. Best of luck to Aja making a potentially kick-ass film!
