How far would you go to have everything you desire? Christmas Eve… when a veteran conductor (Glover), a young pre-med student (Sobieski) and a struggling salesman (Zahn) discover a dead body onboard a night train, the three strangers find themselves on a collision course with destiny. Among the deceased man’s possessions is a mysterious box, which fascinates their attention. Upon looking inside, they see a treasure so valuable that the three conspire to hide the body and split the fortune themselves. This decision sets in motion a tense game of obsession and deceit, where greed betrays reason and morality gives way to temptation. With local authorities at every stop and an assortment of suspicious passengers along for the ride, can the three strangers overcome their fixation with the coveted box or will they delve even deeper into the trenches of depravity?
Bonus features on both the DVD and Blu-ray editions of NIGHT TRAIN include a “Making of” featurette, interviews with the cast and crew, along with the trailer and photo gallery. The film is presented with Spanish and SDH English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
Also featuring Matthias Schweighoefer (The Red Baron, Feardotcom), Geoff Bell (RocknRolla, Scoop) and Richard O’Brien (The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Dark City) in supporting roles, NIGHT TRAIN was written by and is the feature film directorial debut of Brian King, whose previous screenwriting credits include the film Cypher starring Jeremy Northam and Lucy Liu. An independent production from A-Mark Entertainment, Rifkin-Eberts and Film Tiger, the film was shot on location in Bulgaria. It is rated R by the MPAA for violent content and some language.

I've already seen this. At blockbuster they put it out like a month early and it actually it is a good movie IMO. On blu-ray it looks fantastic. You all should see it.
I've wanted to see this for while now; I heard it was quite good. I would love to watch it on Blue Ray, but being unemployed doesn't leave me many options...that's why I should win!!
I want to see this movie, because although the trailer said a LOT, there's a lot of surprises on the film, And why do I deserve the Player? 'Cause it's about time I win sometime already, it has been a really crappy month... And because my birthday is this month???
I want to see "Night Train" because it looks like one hell of a ride! I am easily pleased when it comes to horror movies. I'll watch anything once and I appreciate 99.9% of the movies I see. This trailer looks like they actually tried to make a good movie. It looks quite awesome! I think I deserve to win the Blu-ray player, because when "Trick 'r Treat" comes out in October, I want to be able to watch all of the awesome special features that aren't included on the DVD (How sad is that?). And when "Drag Me To Hell" (Best movie I've seen so far this year, hands down!) comes out on Blu-ray, I want to be able to watch all of the horrible things that happen to Christine in HI-DEF! I NEED this!
Wasn't interested, then I saw Lelee Sobieski going bugnuts with a cleaver. Plus, there has never been a movie that wasn't better for having Danny Glover in it. There's no point giving me the Blu-ray player as I only have an analogue TV and I'm told that unless you have a 52 inch LCD the difference is somewhat less than life changing (according to some idiot I know who is supposedly a technological expert yet still needs his mum to tie his shoelaces)... though I guess you could always throw one of them in too:)
well i want to see night train because iv heard good things about it and it just looks good i give all horror and thriller movies a shot being im a long time fan of them i think i deserve night train and a blu-ray player because im a loyal site viewer(come here 1-2 times a day everyday) and iv been trying to save up for one but sadly because of the way things are i just cant seem to get it and id love to finally be able to see what all the hype is about with theses things.
i find the parallel between the christmas theme and finding a 'gift' fascinating. i'd also love to be engrossed in the suspense of what will happen to the characters and find out who ultimately 'finds the gift on christmas morning'. by no means do i deserve the blu-ray player but unless i stumble upon extra money i wont be affording one anytime soon. in conclusion, i want to see sobieski chop up a body. thanks.
The film doesn't look bad, by any means.. Seems like an interesting concept from the trailer. I'm generally quite open minded to films, so I'm almost positive that I'll find something to appreciate about the film, regardless of how it turns out.
A couple of high points seem to be the cinematography and cast. I'm really diggin' the shots and the overall vibe the trailer offers the viewer. The cast seems to be well rounded and Danny Glover is fantastic!
Why should I win? I don't necessarily have a reason for this.. I'm no different than half of the others trying to get their hands on this prize. I have yet to upgrade to a Blu-Ray technology and what better way to do so? I don't expect this reasoning to better my chances, but I figured it best to be real about the situation..
Best of luck, you guys!
After watching the trailer, Night Train has to be the worst title for the film. I didn't want to see it now I do because I want to see Danny Glover lisp his way out of trouble and Steve Zahn fall for a seductive b!tch 10 different times. As for the blu-ray player... Well I want to see Danny Glover lisp in 1080p high def of course! =D
I want to see this flick not only because Danny Glover is the man but also because it is always exciting to see women being impulsive and crazy, aka chopping up dead bodies, as usually in this genre, or hell, movies in general, they play the weaker role, more subservient role. A number of flicks have stood out as stellar exceptions to that rule over the years, and Sobieski looks to be doing a fine job for herself in this trailer.
I deserve to win this prize because I am a grad student, working my ass off to make the world a better place, and as a consequence I am as poor as dirt and have almost no free time, and I cannot even find the time to go to the cinema as often as I should. Having a sweet Blu Ray player would help mitigate the throes of my cinema detox.
This movie looks great! I like all of the actors and to have all three of them together for this type of film is rare. Watching this in BD would be excellent and since I never win anything it would be a nice fluke.
wow! this movie looks realllly cool! i like flicks that go straight to dvd. its sad to see all these lonely dvds on the shelves that no one has heard of. so i pick em up and the majority of the time they are really good! Danny Glover is the man. and i disagree.."he is definitely not getting too old for this shit", steven Zahn is friggin great!, and LeeLee is fucking beautiful. saw her in public enemies tonight. she had a great small part. she needs more rolls! and i have never watched a blu-ray before! im too poor for that. that would fkn rule to win that! thne i could save up my pennys to get repo on blu-ray! this flick looks like a trip! cant wait to watch it!
What about the trailer looks awesome?
Well... what the hell doesnt? I think this movie actually looks amazing. Especially the last few glimpses that passed by. They might have ruined the movie, but I'll see it anyway.
As for the Blu-ray player, I'm a broke college student. A blu-ray player would change my life.
It is rare nowadays to find a horror film that looks to be character driven rather than kill-shot oriented. These films, the ones that rely on creepy set pieces and deep characters, are the ones that will give you a true fright, instead of the average jump scare. Night Train looks like an actual thriller, and I can not wait to watch it.
I am a fan of horror but especially psychological horror where the viewer actually gets inside the heads of each protagonist/antagonist. It seems like this film is one of those films. Leelee Sobieski seems to be quite demented, which is something she can play very well. Danny Glover is always a joy to watch in his films. He can take on his character and breathe new life into him (he even played Philip Marlowe for crying out loud!). Steve Zahn is an actor that I was never a fan of. I didn't like his role in Joyride, but I thought he played his character to the hilt. I look forward to seeing him in this film. The idea of chopping the guy up and putting him into such a small box appeals to the gorehound that is inside of me, so I want to see how much they push that envelope. It does not seem to be a very innovative film, but I think the acting calibre and the smart camera shots that I have seen gives this movie a lot of potential.
This movie looks like a movie that you can actually get lost into and those are the horror movies I love.
I would love a copy of Night Train and would like to win Sonys Blu-Ray Player because my screwed up last year and Sony wont take it back. $600 Ps3 w/ Blu Ray gone, I have a couple Blu Ray dvds I cant watch now because nobody I know has blu ray! :(
I've seen this for rent but knew nothing about it, until now. Impressive. It looks to be part: "A simple plan" mixed with "Misery" on a train, with interesting characters, something we don't see very often any more. The ONLY thing that could possibly make this movie any better would have to be a Blue-Ray player, which, regrettably, I do not own. To think that someone will be able to watch this on Blue-ray, then put ALL the other Horror movies they own in the player too (I've heard it makes regular DVDs look a bit better as well), well- that's just to good to be true. The winner will be the luckiest person, in the history of "Luckiest Persons".
Good luck to all.
Well if I don't win this movie, I'm definitely going to check it out! It looks very suspenseful! I enjoy the actors as well, especially because I loved that movie "Joyride" and "T2". Looks like a fun and erie train ride! I just bought a Hi Def tv and cannot afford a blu-ray player :(. I'm pretty much bummed until I get one considering I cannot see my tv's full potential.
Pretty decent little supernatural flick, although that trailer needed more Richard O’Brien dressed as an old lady, if I'm being honest.
