If you enjoyed the exploitation film Monster from Bikini Beach, get ready for Planet of the Vampire Women, a new film coming from independent producer Christy Savage and director Darin Wood. The movie is in the very early stages of development as they are presently they are still casting, building sets and fundraising so filming can start in September, writes Monster Island News, but check out the super sweet teaser one sheet below, along with a link to check out stills of the early cast.
PLANET OF THE VAMPIRE WOMEN is an action-packed sci-fi adventure of the galaxy’s sexiest space pirates who pull off the ultimate heist only to crash into an unknown world. Finding themselves trapped on a storm-shrouded planet overrun with monsters, the intergalactic outlaws unknowingly awaken an unspeakable horror that causes the dead to walk...with an insatiable lust for blood!
As with most of these modern attempts to recreate the 'sploitation films of the 60s and 70s, it seems that everyone involved is way too self-conscious of that objective, to ever achieve it.
Guys these are just very early "concept" pics and are not from the actual film. It doesn't even start shooting till September. I freakin' loved "Monster From Bikini Beach". It really felt like an authentic 60's beach babes and the monster flick, so I'm so looking forward to this one.
