First Look Studios has scored the rights to It's Alive (trailer), a modern remake of the classic 1970s horror film. When a young woman (Bijou Phillips) learns that she is pregnant, she leaves graduate school to set up a home with her boyfriend in the country. The fate of the happy new family takes a gruesome turn when animals and people end up brutally dead – all with a strange connection to their newborn. Could their new child be the monster responsible for the gruesome murders? The DVD arrives in stores on October 6th.
A direct to dvd remake? Could be fun but the original was freaky when I was a kid.Why didn't this get any publicity to be a theatre release?That's what makes me wonder if this going to be another Day Of The Dead remake.Let's hope Nick Cannon doesn't show up in this one.I'll rent with low expectations.
I wondered what had happened... after seeing the trailer once last year, it was then removed from site.
I remember being scared from the original It's Alive TV spot (with the 'claw in crib') when i was kid. I'm interested in seeing what they've done with this remake.
I watched this trailer seems like over a year ago, and it got me thinking about how when I was a kid the original freaked me out. So I went a got a copy (of the trilogy)...big mistake, should have let my fond memories stay that way...it is awful, and boring as hell, and the sequels were just stupid, like MST3000 stupid.
You know why its irritating and sucks!?!?!? Because its ITS ALIVE - a remake of a cult movie liked by a lot of people for how Cohen portrayed it. It was dark and twisted. This REMAKE looks like shit. Like a festival acher trying to follow that witty pattern of poser shit and built up tension - IS IT MY BABY!? What a hunkof crap. Make your own film - dont try to suck off of fans of Its Alive. Thats where its lame. This movie trailer I just watched WASNT Its Alive... Remember DAY OF THE DEAD? Need I say more?
