What looks like a spin on a Blade subplot, beyond the break you can watch the trailer debut for Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig's (Undead) sci-fi horror flick Daybreakers, which stars Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe (Antichrist), Sam Niell (In the Mouth of Madness, Jurassic Park), Isabel Lucas, Michael Dorman and Vince Colosimo. Lionsgate has slated the new film from the directors of Undead for release on January 8, 2010. Click the title above for the official poster and first batch of stills.
Edward Dalton is a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world's population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.
Looks pretty good....but I really think that Willem Dafoe is really a freakin vampire....that guy doesn't look like he's aged a bit since Platoon. Probably eats a lot of protein......
Bulk, it's been on the shelf for too long...so we know it has it's issues. We can only hope............The original Salems Lot.....have a feeling this won't even come close.
WTF! a Vampire movie that actually looks good!?!?! Better not disappoint! Now all we need is a werewolf movie that looks good too because werewolves and vampires in film these days just turn out lame!
I like the way it's all flipped around, where vampires are walking around like normal people, going about their business...It's like I Am Legend if it stayed true to the book. I like where this is going
Looks really good. Juicekreeper, I have read I Am Legend numerous times and don't recall the infected holding down jobs. What are you referring to? And Wharmon, why the "quotations" around like? Looks a bit like Blade meets Perfect Creature, meets Vampire$.
