Bloody-Disgusting readers "MaidenFan and SpookyVille" just sent us a new image from Rob Zombie's Halloween II. Michael Myers is ready for his close-up as the new image features Tyler Mane as Myers in a close and personal encounter. With the August 28th release looming closer, Dimension Films has been unloading the goods, which include the second trailer and one sheet - from everything you've seen so far, what are your thoughts? Will this be better than the first?

Check out our Halloween II image gallery:

I might be in the minority here, but I actually hate that he's showing his face. They're humanizing him too much imo.

I'm still not completly happy with the half-mask thing. It's different. But, what the hell...I can't wait for the movie to come out August 28th!!!! Michael's gonna slaughter some bitches!!!

Pathetic, Michael Myers is meant to be "The Shape" a mystery, an enigma. The eyes are all wrong and look too human. Just like what they did in Friday The 13th remake. Stop trying to humanize our killers. It will be sad if they do the same with Freddy in the Nightmare on Elm St remake....

gooooore, it's not Carpenters Halloween. I'm not sure if I like seing his face, but i'll wait to see the movie before I say anything. I would actually hate it more if it were an exact replica of the mask from the original though. Change is good.!!!

Still excited about H2. I dig the half mask look. It's different & fresh; and I totally like Tyler Mane as Michael.

It's been done and done and then overdone some more..Im glad he looks different in this one..I for one think its going to be super exciting!!!

I'm sure if everyone who is riding Rob Zombie's 10 lb ego infected clitoris closes their eyes and wish realllly hard,Myers may even have SPOKEN lines in this film! And it'll be ok b/c its not Carpenter's "Halloween",and "different" is "better" Right? Right??

ok, this is not AICN here, you dont have to comment that your first... obviously your first you dont need to say it.. any ways i agree with mav07 100%. Im not sure i dig the whole half mask thing either, but ill wait to see how its used in the movie before i criticize. Also, the point IS to humanize him, since thts what Rob did in the first one, so yea. once again, this is not the shape we saw in carpenters Halloween... this is totally fresh, which intrigues me

this is literally JUST A SCREENGRAB from the video. ok to show that i AM fair, i've been saying from the get go that i am EXCITED for this movie and i've been defending Zombie/H2/H1 and what i love about this BUT BUT BUT i DO NOT really care for this decayed/broken mask. i understand it's what would happen after all these years to the mask but i DO NOT care for it. see i can be impartial. :)

I've always wanted to see Michael's face in the old ones. We only got a few glimpses here and there, so I'm lovin the half-mask approach.

pissing_lasers= different is better..exactly..How many shitty sequels did we all sit through to the original halloween..If Rob was just doing another same old sequel i dont think half as many ppl would be excited for this..Making a different take on Michael Myers and the Halloween Franchise is exactly what this needed...

And to djblack1313, so damn true. That's what will happen to the mask after a few years, especially after the gun shot.

I like it in small doses. Hopefully Zombie will do a lot of shadow with the exposed face.If not, oh well different can be good.Still stoked to see it.

You got that right Adolyne.

6:21pm, June 23, 2009

Um,if the point "IS to humanize him" then get off the rag about seeing half his face-a face is human, right? Think about how super excited and intrgued you'll be!!!!! YAYYYYYYYY!!!!! Cunttards.

Christ, i wouldnt even care if Laurie ripped his mask off during a struggle and we saw all of his face

In a design respect it just doesn't look cool. In a narrative respect, they are just slowly merging all these 80's killers into the same killer. Stealing from jason here leatherface there. The thing that worked in the 80's was they all had very distinctive traits. Because when you have a slasher that doesn't speak you need to get creative. This here is not creative, looks like a cross between leather face and jason.
