Running Alongside the Hunt For 'Predators' Is....

Running alongside Neil Marshall in the hunt for Predators is Vacancyand Kontroll director Nimród Antal, reports Latino Review. The site reports that not only is he a contender but he "is also the top contender and the guy most likely to get the gig." Since we reported Marshall as frontrunner, we've had a handful of reports of other potential directors and can confirm that Antal's name is in fact in the ring. Who will Robert Rodriguez pick? Hopefully AICN can get a lockdown on the decision since they have a direct line to Rodriguez. Latino Reviews adds a blissful warning that you should ALWAYS remember: "Rodriguez is the producer on the movie so if negotiations just started, keep in mind like it has time after time this past year, "THAT PRODUCERS LIE"." AMEN BROTHA'!

I guess this means that the talks with Neil Marshall fell through?

I'm still not overly-enthused about this project, TBH. To me, the reason why the original Predator had such a "wow" factor was because it was a *single* hunter that was deadly enough to wipe out everyone who crossed its path (barring the obligatory Arnie survival). A film called 'Predators' just sounds like the eponymous monsters are going to be used as cannon-fodder, with yellow blood flying in all directions.

Fingers crossed Marshall gets the job but lets hope he doesnt make it as crazy and OTT as Doomsday

After seeing Dog Soldiers, I think that Neil would have been an excellent choice.

Nobody should want a Nimrod directing their film. Give it to Neil you silly twats.

Still want Marshall to get the film. I think he is the best to do it currently, even though the film probably shouldn't happen.

Don't really want this film at all. Apparantly Rodriguez said recently that there were some huge directors vying for the gig, he didn't say anything about a huge Nimrod. Marshall on Descent form could interest me, but Doomsday was horrendous and I'm not a fan of Dog Soldiers either. Here's an idea, radical as it may seem, why doesn't Rodriguez get off his lazy ass and do it himself? Either that or try to get a proven aggressive action director, Kathryn Bigelow would kick the shit out of it.

Rollstuhlwolf, bye bye.

Rollstuhlwolf, live up to your word and get the fuck off the site. Kateryn Bigelow?! Haaaaahaaaaahaaaaaa! Man you people are idiots! Yeah Robert Rodriguez is lazy. Dude are you a complete moron or do you just play one in cyberspace? Neil Marshall could find better use of his talents than this piece of trash. Nimrod?! After those 2 films he directed a director couldn't be more appropriately named.

Watch the Hurt Locker. Then take Doomsday and shove it up your ass you snarky little prick.
