Family-oriented horror used to be a big thing in the 80s. It's kinda a wonder why it died out, considering that in truth, horror does not discriminate, and it definitely is NOT exclusive to hot teenagers and college students! The perception of what horror is today is so small compared to the past. It used to be a widely diverse genre where people of different particular tastes could all find something they liked. So yeah, hope this is good, so it'll re-open the family horror sub-genre. It seems like, as of now, people think horror is strictly just splatterpunk, slashers and torture porn.
