A foreign film that looks pretty incredible is Stefano Bessoni's Imago Mortis, which will be arriving in Spain July 24th. You can check out the final poster below. They say that in the 1600s, long before the invention of photography, a scientist named Girolamo Fumagalli was obsessed with the idea of reproducing images. He discovered that by killing a victim and removing the victim's eyeballs, it was possible to reproduce on paper the last image imprinted on that person's retinas. He named this technique 'thanatography'. Today, the same kind of gruesome ritual and abominable crime recurs within the walls of an international school of cinema.
The exact same concept of capturing the last images a dead person has seen with their eyes was used in an episode of Fringe not too long ago.
Trailer still looks nice.
wow. so the movie is quite different from another movie that the trailer looks like its copying but its really not. Thats great cause I thought the trailer looked really good so Im glad its somewhat original. CANT WAIT!
Like every single other thing on Fringe, the concept was actually done years ago on the X-Files. This looks cool, plus, if I wasn't already interested as it was, finding out that Richard Stanley worked on the script means this has got me all the way.
