A trio of small bits of news closes out a huge week in horror as we've got updates from three forthcoming projects. Beyond the break you can get an update on release plans for Wes Craven's 25/8, a film now in post-production, David Goyer's The Invisible Man remake, and hear what Megan Fox has to say about her demonic character in 20th Century Fox's Jennifer's Body. Click the title above to learn more about each film.

First up, an update on when we might get to see Wes Craven's 25/8, courtesy of Den of Geek:

"I think it'll be late this year or early next year," Craven tells the site, "We might shoot three more days in July, because we have an idea for a really fun little button on the ending, and other than that we're virtually locked down editorially, so it'll be a matter of getting that new little piece together."

Here's the official synopsis: As legend has it, a notorious serial slayer will return to the sleepy community of Riverdale to finish off the seven children born on the night he purportedly died. But is the slayer really dead, or is he still at large? Or has the mysterious evil personality that once impelled his bloody spree entered the body of an unwary teen, who will now be compelled to do his evil bidding?

MTV recently chatted with Megan Fox about JENNIFER'S BODY, arriving in theaters September 18th from 20th Century Fox. She talks a bit about her sexy demonic role.

There’s this scene in a kitchen. I can’t reveal too much — but it’s the first time you see me cross over from human to whatever this weird thing is that I’ve become. I actually truly frightened myself — which I’m excited about,” she tells the site. "“I’m a man-eater. I eat boys. I’m sort of a zombie, but not really. I get improperly sacrificed [and it possesses me]… my character is a frighteningly vapid high school girl who’s captain of her flag team.

She gets improperly sacrificed by Adam Brody’s band, who have sold their souls to Satan in order to get a record deal,” Fox laughed. “And what happens when you improperly sacrifice someone is the victim gets taken over by a demon. They thought I was a virgin — and I was not a virgin.

So, I get taken over by a demon,” Fox continued. “And in order to maintain the state of the undead, I have to feast on human flesh. And so, I start eating boys.

Lastly, writer-director David Goyer updated his progress of THE INVISIBLE MAN to Shocktillyoudrop:

"I've since finished a draft and I'm in the midst of revisions for it right now," he says. "Universal seems pretty high on it. So, they're just breathing down my neck to get the revisions done. It's a movie they'd like to make."

Conceived as a sequel to Wells' original tale, the story centers on a British nephew of the original Invisible Man. Once he discovers his uncle's formula for achieving invisibility, he is recruited by British intelligence agency MI5 during WWII.

Universal has a remake of The Wolfman arriving this year (although we're hearing it'll be pushed), with retoolings of Jekyll and Hyde, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein and Frankenstein also in the works.

So help me is Wolfman is pushed again. 25/8 kind of sounds like Craven sucking on the teat of Freddy, but who knows?

craven's flick sounds like A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 meets My Bloody Valentine meets Halloween

I was very excited for 25/8...before I read the script. It started off as a great slasher, but then turned into some lame PG-13 teen movie. The pacing was bad, the killer was hugely wasted and anyone expecting anything like 'Scream' needs to look elsewhere. I'm disappointed to find out that test screening reviews haven't also been very good, and now they are filming...again? Hopefully the final product is good...but I'm not getting my hopes up at all.

Only interested in Jennifers Body, either it'll be super fun and gory or horrible and full of nu metal

craven is the kind of director that can take a questionable script and turn into a great movie....so im definately looking forward to his flick....all you would of really had to say was wes craven is making a slasher flick and BOOM im already sold lol i consider the man a horror and suspence master!

isn't JENNIFER'S BODY going for a PG-13 rating? i'm not saying EVERY horror movie has to be a HARD R but Megan is talking about "eating flesh, etc". YOU NEED SOME GORE to do so. i'm interested in J'sB anyway but i hope it'll be at least an R (HARD R preferred).

no offense to Craven or his fans but he can also make (whether producing or directing) some REAL STINKERS ( i mean on a MASSIVE LEVEL STINKERS). RED EYE, (producer on) HILLS HAVE EYES2, etc. so he doesn't in ANY way have the midas touch.

Whether or not the audience liked it or not doesn't really sway my opinion. In the more recent times, there are a LOT of movies(particularly horror movies) that the audience LOVED, but I felt was crap. Particularly mainstream horror flicks. For instance, the audience LOVED Freddy Vs Jason, but that movie was shit. If it's like that, and the audience were expecting CW crap but got a movie with the majority of the cast being unknowns, who knows. If this is more a hark back to the older slasher days(and modern audiences can't wrap their minds around horror that doesn't star their favorite Supernatural or The Hills star), I just might think differently from the audience. And, actually, I wouldn't mind Craven taking a few more stabs at supernatural slashers. He created Freddy Krueger, gave us, probably, the best NOES movie yet(at least IMO, the first movie's the best, with New Nightmare, and Dream Warriors following). Shocker turned out bad for many reasons, though I liked it nonetheless, and Craven's stated that when he remakes it(which he'll be having a direct part of, not just producing it), it will be the way he wanted to make it, with all the SFX perfect(the SFX company pulled out in last minute during the original, so they had to get people in the last minute) and uncut violence(they had to trim, seemingly, a lot from Craven's original just get an R-rating, though I'm sure they'd let him slide now).

i will not watch a frankenstien remake unless it resembles boris karloffs frankenstien. the glenn strange and bela lugosi frankenstien will do though because it resembles karloffs but any other form of frankenstiens over the years have sucked monkey balls and reaked of stupidity.

Never really been a huge fan of Craven's, I liked the Original and the New Nightmare, and perhaps a guilty pleasure was Swamp Thing, but I preferred Cronenberg's thought-provoking and gut wrenching natured films, Carpenters cynical and atmospheric films, and Romero's Soicial commentaries when I was growing up to Craven's fairly straight forward films. Sure Nightmare had some fun imagiery, and some subtext, but I just preferred the other guys to him. That said, I would love to see him come back with a more visceral outting.I enjoyed Sam Raimi's return, I would like to see another big Horror name come back to further entice the other Master's to come back for one more run, hear this Barker, hear this Cronenberg? Jennifer's body...no real interest for this either, I never really thought too much about Megan Fox. Anyone could have replaced her or Shia in Transformers. I really don't find her all that appealing either. I prefer Danille Panabaker to her, or Rhona Mitra. And this seems like a cross between 976-evil and Prom Night 2, so I'll stay clear. And as for the Invisible Man remake, it actually sounds like a remake of the Invisible Agent, which I believe was the 4th in the Invisible saga from old Universal. They just changed the setting, and made the lead the son instead of the brother. The original wasn't half bad, except the racist side of Hollywood back then by casting Peter Lorre as a Japanese Officer (he wasn't too bad though). Regardless, they've had two recent Invisible movies, and a Show on Sci-Fi not too long ago, I think they need to let Invisible Man ferment for a while. Wells must be spinning in his grave.

Eric, you beat me to it! The first thing I thought when I read this is that they're remaking The Invisible Agent.

EricCord, i agree. RHONA MITRA (and Danielle's a cutie too!) RULES!

Jennifer's Body sounds interesting. The plot is something out of the 80s. You really didn't get those types of movies on into the 90s and 2000s(Night of the Demons 2 & 3, the Convent). It was a dying breed, though I wouldn't mind the demon zombie/possession movies to make a comeback! I know they are remaking Night of the Demons.
