Mother's Day is great film to remake as long as they stick to the same story as the original Troma film. They could do this alot better with the right actors and more dough to spend producing. 100% behind it.

Yeah... based on the description above, it sounds like a sequel, not a remake. Which is fine, but if you want to make a sequel, just call it a sequel. That was what I didn't like about the new "Friday the 13th" -- it would have been perfectly acceptable if they'd just called it "Friday the 13th Part 12," because that's what it was. It wasn't a remake, it was just another in a long line of Jason flicks.

I loved the original. Plus one of the scenes was filmed around the corner from where I live!!!

No kidding? Sweet! I live one block west of the apartment building they filmed the first "Child's Play" at. It's just fun to watch that movie and think, "Hey, that's like RIGHT over there..." Also, the bakery downstairs in that building used to be a really seedy-looking liquor store, apparently.

I hope Darren cast some real men actors in this movie and no Zac Efron or Emile Hirsch, for goodness sake!!! Please Darren choose your actors wisely.

The original 'Mother's Day' was scary as hale, hope the remake be just as scary.

I don't know cynthia82, I think watching Zac Efron getting his rape on could be a real eye opener.

Though on a serious note, Bousman's starting to piss me off. Constantly getting whored into doing Saw sequels so that he could get Repo made, you would think that he'd paid his dues. Now, instead of making one of the numerous interesting projects he's been linked to (Wichita? Ever gonna happen?) he's remaking Mother's Day? Fuck off, he could do so much better than this.
