Halloween fans get ready for more of Michael Myers as star Tyler Mane is getting ready to join another horror film, Penance Lane, which heads to the American Wild West. Beyond the break you can check out some really early teaser art, along with word from Mane about his role.
Tyler Mane writes:
"Just thought I’d keep you up to date on what I’m up to these days since I don't twitter! I’m typing this from my suite in Osoyoos, BC. That’s in Canada for those of you who don’t have a clue. Hell, I’m Canadian and I didn’t have a fuckin' clue where it was. I’m about two miles from the US border and it’s like the high desert! But it’s Canada’s premiere wine country and the shit’s good!!!
Anyway, I’m filming my next project "Gunless." It’s a major change of pace for me which is why I really wanted to do the project. The IMDB summary is: "A hardened American gunslinger is repeatedly thwarted in his attempts to mount a showdown in a friendly town in Canada where no one seems to understand or appreciate the brutal code of the American Wild West." Yeah…it’s a Western… comedy!!! I play Jack Smith the local Blacksmith, the one the gunslinger is trying to have the show down with.
Next up, I’ve been setting up my production company Mane Entertainment and our first project PENANCE LANE is moving along at an incredible pace. In my top friends there is a page PENANCE LANE where you can look for up dates in the near future. We have a director attached that will blow your minds! Not telling yet!"
Something is telling me that the director is either Rob Zombie, Quentin Tarentino or Eli Roth or maybe someone that has never directed a horror movie maybe TYLER MANE HIMSELF!!!!
Maybe it's me but he still looks like Michael Myers even in regular clothes. Something about the stance he has in this pix, I almost see a kitchen knife instead of the ax in his hand. Even the position of his head and face reaks of MM's killer pose. This is how RZ should've had Mane look in H2, better than that heavy beard hobo look!!
"I almost see a kitchen knife instead of the ax in his hand"
I think you're almost seeing alot of things - being that there's a sledgehammer in his hands.
