There seems to be no shortage of bloody spy pics from behind-the-scenes of Piranha 3D, Dimension Films' reboot now filming under the direction of Alex Aja in Arizona. This afternoon another batch of blood-soaked images found their way online, one featuring the brutal aftermath of a piranha attack. Hot chicks, wet t-shirt contests, girls gone wild and man-eating piranha in 3-D... can March 19th come any sooner?
"These were taken with a cell phone, security was pretty tight. There is a great one with a half body laying on an overturned boat. You'll see the boats covered with blood, and a couple good pics of the hydraulic sound stage."
All my respect to Aja, he's truly a gifted cinematographer. Nevertheless, I feel sorry for the current state of American Horror Cinema: these remakes add nothing. However I'm pretty sure a true good movie will appear eventually and will send these brainless "reimagining" mode right to straight to dvd, where it truly belongs.
AJA RULES (even though MIRRORS was just barely OK...barely! LOL). i'm SO excited for this. AWESOME cast. AWESOME director. AWESOME gore...and WE HAVE A WINNER! (hopefully!).
High Tension was boring IMO..
i didnt LIKE Mirrors, but i loved the bathtub death scene.. otherwise, eh...
i am not personally too familiar with him to expect anything.
Any plans on re-releasing the original film on DVD/Blue-Ray? Digital download even?
