I've been starring at this one sheet for about five minutes, and while there's a lot to dislike about the international one sheet for A Perfect Getaway, there's also something about it I revel in. It's got a very 90's thriller look that displays all of the stars, while also touching on the plot with the tagline: "Let the Games Begin." It'll be interesting to see if the US poster is different. I'm pretty excited for the film as it was directed by David Twohy, who got behind the camera for Pitch Black. He seems to know how to put together an action sequence, but scares? Not so sure just yet.
Cliff and Cydney (Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich) are an adventurous young couple celebrating their honeymoon by backpacking to one of the most beautiful, and remote, beaches in Hawaii. Hiking the wild, secluded trails, they believe they’ve found paradise. But when the pair comes across a group of frightened hikers discussing the horrifying murder of another newlywed couple on the islands, they begin to question whether they should turn back. Unsure whether to stay or flee, Cliff and Cydney join up with two other couples, and things begin to go terrifyingly wrong. Far from civilization or rescue, everyone begins to look like a threat and nobody knows whom to trust. Paradise becomes hell on earth as a brutal battle for survival begins…
i like this poster a lot, actually. it's different from regular posters. also, it's the Canadian poster, to be specific. and yeah, i think Mila Jovovich and Steve Zahn are the killers too!
Throw a real curve ball. Make it so Steve Zahn and Timothy Olyphant are old college bum chums that plotted this reunion to get out of their marriage and have themselves some Broke Back Mountain style love on the Hawaiian islands. I know it is gay, but no one would expect Steve and Tim to be Rectal Assassins. Hahaha
I was thinking that too, HorrorKing93. Or maybe Milla and one of the other girls are the killers. I think I have no doubt in my mind that Milla is definitely one of the killers though.
MILLA RULES! i can't wait to see this. and the twist (IMO) is VERY cool. the script has been floating around for a while and the ending caught me by surprise! BRING ON THE MILLA MOVIES! :)
