'World War Z' Far From Realization

The boys over at Dark Horizons translated an article at Migros Magazin that reports some disheartening news for World War Z fans as Quantum of Solace and Monster's Ball director Marc Foster tells the mag that the film's script still needs a lot of development and is "still far from realization". As a result he's likely moving forward with another project entitled Disconnect which is 'ready to go'. World War Z is a sober telling of the aftermath of a war fought against a legion of humans who were inflicted with a virus, died and were reanimated into flesh-eating zombies.

Good. I thought the script was weak.

This is sad news! I enjoyed the book and was hoping for a good zombie flick. I guess it would be hard to translate though

Get your thumbs out of your arses and get this movie made. I don't care if it is 4 hours long. I will sit in the theatre and enjoy it like a good little zombie fan.

This is not a good idea for a film. A made for cable Ken Burns style mini-series would be better.

This would work best as an HBO mini-series or something along those lines.

This would be great if they had a different director direct each of the segments/chapters.

i'm bummed, i'm SO looking forward to this movie! it's such a well liked book for many of us who've read it, and original too (IMO). i HOPE this is still going to come to fruition.

I agree that this would best serve as an HBO or Showtime mini series, but I was really looking forward to getting this film in 2010. Oh well, take your time, this needs to be amazing.
