Whoa,the fight sequences look like there going to be badass!!

WOOT!!! I hope this doesn't suck as much as that CGI

I went to see this yesterday, here in Thailand. What a disappointment; a complete letdown! Sorry, GoreGore_Dancer; the fight sequences are badly choreographed and rhythm-less (Kill Bill & Crouching tiger it ain't!) . There are five action sequences all together, with the third & forth being mildly entertaining (some good in stuff there!); if you can get over the terrible CGI bloodletting, which is present throughout the film. The first and second are over before they really get started, and the final showdown is underwhelming and lackluster. The CGI vampire demons are some of the worst special effects I've ever seen a film. The film is just a mess; bad acting from all supporting roles, cringe making dialogue, and hackeyed script. The ending is nonsensical, and left opened ended for a sequel; never going to happen! The only redeemable features are Gianna Jun in the lead role as Saya (really beautiful as well!), and them two passable action sequences. I was so looking forward to this, and I left the theater feeling empty inside.

Sorry, there is actually six action sequences. There is a penultimate one before the final showdown; blatantly ripping off a set-piece from 'Underworld: Evolution'. Oh yeah, and there is a twist at the end, which you see coming a mile off from the first act.

Slashtastic : Is it true to the "old" anime-film it`s based on??????

I can't compare it to the original anime context, as I've never seen it. I can only judge as a stand alone film, and take my word for it - it's fucking awful!
