It looks like a bunch of stuff that was edited out for a reason. But being such a fan of the original, I would still enjoy seeing it. That whole business about the alternate ending sounds awesome. Hopefully Akkad and Anchor Bay can figure it out and release it somehow. Too bad they missed the mark for the 30th Anniversary...

All I know is they're not going to be able to double-dip Halloween with me again unless at least some of this footage is on that future edition.

Carpenters version looks so goofy compared to Zombies version... Can't wait for August 28!!

Your taste is terrible, Cr8nkenstein. I would love to see this footage! I worship this masterpiece, and it's partly responsible for my horror fandom, along with 'Jaws', 'Poltergeist' & 'NOES'.

I would love to see this footage on a DVD release. Not necessarily added back into the film, but just to see some of the "what Halloween could have been" angle. Even if it were only used in a documentary (and hosted by Carpenter would be awesome) it would be really interesting and satisfying viewing. Also, crow454, that is hiliarious, but I honestly think they have surpassed the quadruple dip on this film. Isn't it like 5 or 6 times already?

Maybe we could put this footage in RZ reimaging-rebutchering sequel to give the film "class".

Oh how I would love to see all of this. Hopefully it all gets released some time soon.

I'm thinking deleted scenes and alternate outakes special feature w/ optional commentary by John Carpenter himself. Maybe a new behind the scenes feature as well.That would be cool on a 35th anniversary edition. I'd pick it up.
