Beyond the break you can check out two pretty awesome hi-res images of Sam Worthington as Perseus from Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ The Clash of the Titans, the reboot of the classic film also starring Mads Mikkelsen, Gemma Arterton, Alexa Davalos, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Izabella Miko and Danny Huston. In the film directed by Louis Leterrier, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world.

Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

He looks a lot more capable of kickibg some mythological ass than girly man Harry Hamlin did.

Well, he's not topless and furry-chested, but I guess he'll do... What's up with the storyline changes, though? I'm sure I'll still like the film, but I liked Aphrodite getting angry because of Princess Andromeda's mother's complement to her daughter ("Even more beautiful than Aphrodite") which launched the nasty sequence of events. I hope there's still the bird with the cage - that was one of my favorite aspects of the original film. It'll still be cool to watch, but I hope that the filmmakers don't try to just mimic the imagery of "300" (which was a great film, but a completely different type of film). Gosh, I get crankier and picky as I get older cuz usually I don't care as long as it's a movie on a screen.

Those are some pretty awesome pictures, the first one looks like he was maybe fighting Medusa or something because of the stone woman. Maybe the second one is maybe him and Hades in the underworld.

Gargus, your comment makes absolutely no sense. But then, some people only see what they WANT to see... I think the shots are great, can't wait for more info and photos in the near future!

Jesus, man, doesn't anyone remember how to light a film? I bet the editing on the fight sequences will blow too...

Why is it that all modern movies depicting older times now give most characters modern GI crewcuts? This is ancient Greece, so where's the long curly hair. I think 300 was the only one that sticked with the classic hair styles. The LotR trilogy did, as well. It's kinda annoying that they skimp with the hair in other movies. What's a matter, do people really hate hair THAT much? Give this guy a tattoo on his face and this could be God of War: The Movie!

I think the pics are great, and i actually like a more manly lead, (the other guy was too androginuos)but I disagree with changing the whole story, what's the point then??, and yes, I also got reminded of the God Of War game, now that would be another awesome movie!!!

Yeah, God of War movie would kick ass. But again, not liking the shaved head. It's too much of a modern "manly character" cliche. You can strip this dude of his armor, put him in a prisoner's uniform and he could star in Prison Break. You could put him in a white tank top, line his arms with tattoos and he could be every other gangsta/street badass in every other action movie! Hell, there's very little between his look in this and his look as Marcus Wright other than the clothing.

Neeson as Zeus is going to own especially after him in Fallout 3
