This afternoon the first trailer and a bunch of new stills were released from David Twohy's (Pitch Black) forthcoming A Perfect Getaway, which stars Timothy Olyphant, Steve Zahn, Milla Jovovich and Kiele Sanchez. In the film Zahn plays a newlywed whose Hawaiian honeymoon becomes a nightmare when he and his bride (Jovovich) are stalked by two killers (Timothy Olyphant). You can check out the trailer (that rocks some Nine Inch Nails), new stills and the official synopsis below the break.
Cliff and Cydney are an adventurous young couple celebrating their honeymoon by backpacking to one of the most beautiful, and remote, beaches in Hawaii. Hiking the wild, secluded trails, they believe they've found paradise. But when the pair comes across a group of frightened hikers discussing the horrifying murder of another newlywed couple on the islands, they begin to question whether they should turn back. Unsure whether to stay or flee, Cliff and Cydney join up with two other couples, and things begin to go terrifyingly wrong. Far from civilization or rescue, everyone begins to look like a threat and nobody knows whom to trust. Paradise becomes hell on earth as a brutal battle for survival begins...

Hmm that actually was different and better from what I expected, I don't really expect this to be anything great or original but at least it doesn't look bad.
this looks REALLY good! i thought there was just 2 sets of couples (which would've made a BIG difference if you know the ending...right DPVx2? VERY COOL ENDING is all i will say so as not to ruin it. it'll throw you..believe me! and NO i'm not a studio plant! LOL) but i LOVE that there are 3 (Marley & her guy). it's going to keep the audience guessing!
To answer Yarost's question, the NIN track is 'the Wretched'(From the Fragile). Great track, I'm amazed how long it took people to figure out that putting an NIN track on a trailer was an easy way to make it look decent. Film looks fun, though Turistas does keep coming to mind.
At first i heard about this and i was like: lame. But then i saw the poster, and watched the trailer and when that padle came flying out of no where at that guy i was like: shit i need to see this. haha
has guilty pleasure written all over it. Kudos to Zahn for landing a role with Mila as his girl
