I love Dexter the series, but this sounds very much like the last season with Jimmy Smits (which was awesome). I had thought for sure this was to be the season Dexter's woman catches on and has to decide whether she wants to be with someone she loves who is a killer, or if she'd be compelled to turn him in and then we'd see how Dexter would handle THAT. Maybe that will be a subplot - but Im not crazy about Lithgow being on the show with his over the top character acting. Show is good though - not like I wont watch and see...

The first 2 seasons of this show were phenomenal. The 3rd sagged a bit but more than made up for it by the end. Personally I think Lithgow is awesome and I could not be happier about seeing him play a dark character.

oooh1 :( That's what I did when I read that name. I won't be able to get his silly 3rd rock character out of my head. I actually would rather see actors I don't know and keep the realness feeling. I guess we'll see how this pans out.

Lithgow is the shit he is the best when he plays villians. I am a huge Dexter fan and this is gonna be a great season really excited

This show is awesome..i watched seasons 1 and 2 just before season 3 started and its amazing. John Lithgow is awesome..Ive been a fan of his since back when I saw the movie Harry and the Hendersons..so i hope he brings a lot to this new season..WOO!

I totally agree with Irish Mic on this. Watch Cliffhanger and Ricochet and you will see how effective he is at playing a psychol.

I've been dying to see Lithgow in a high profiled film or television show. Dexter is my favorite show on television and the fact that John Lithgow will be appearing this season is pretty fantastic.

I get the feeling season 4 might be a bit stale. As someone already pointed out, the first two seasons were great while the third one was pretty weak.

I can't wait hes gonna be one crazy character I bet.

This sounds like they are making up for the lacklustre season 3. Lithgow will be a great villian and its good to see Lundy back.

Great casting choice. Lithgow always shines as the villian. Actually, he is probably the only actor who can play both the good guy or the bad guy and is believable in either role.

Absolutely fucking brilliant!! I was wondering who they'd bring in, and Lithgow seems like a bullseye.

Finally, a reason to start watching Dexter. :D
