Ugh I always start seriously doubting the validity of any review that includes references to punching you in the stomach. Its the equivilant of when you read a reviewer say something like "people are going to freak out when they see this!".

this review is stupid, now its at the point where people are glorifying shocking and disturbing images thrown together in a film without no real original stories anymore? geez, this bull shit should start a new wave of even more shittier horror films than it already has been with the saw sequels and martyrs, all this stuff is complete garbage, i see no entertainment and glorifying these terrible "horror" films that just rely and making the viewer squeemish and disturbed, keep makking these films and keep lowering the moral of an already sick society, thats a great job there guys in glorifying and recommending people watch this nonsense, because it'll just create more...way to go there idiots

heres an example, a grotesque nonsense unoriginal story of a film called "Last house in the woods" gets a great review where a film that has a very original story like "deaths of ian stone" for example, gets a very low review, this is something that upsets me a great deal, glorifying a dumb unoriginal story because of its shock value and putting down a film for its lack of gore when the story blows away most others when dealing with ORIGINALITY

Dude, watch the movie before attacking it's originality. Antichrist is original on a whole other level than Ian Stone. Plus it doesn't help to have an original idea if the execution sucks (ie. Ian Stone). Comparing Antichrist with the Saw films is idiocy...and a film can most definitely be original even if the main storyline isn't.

I wonder if it's gonna be as good as another punch in the guts - Martyrs. Considering the von Trier's mastership (awesome Riget), the chances are very very high..

I don't see how Protecious can even be a real horror fan. Go watch stuff like the HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT or the PROM NIGHT remake. Just because IAN STONE was somewhat original doesn't mean it's actually a good movie. I liked LAST HOUSE IN THE WOODS more than that. It was certainly more entertaining. Gore and art in a film can coexist, which should be the case with ANTICHRIST (which, for the record, seems pretty original to me). INSIDE was gory as all hell but it was very well-done and artsy. Liking movies like this doesn't make one sick.

Well put, MikeScott22. Key word in your comment is 'seems' - Protecious reflexively attacks Antichrist without having seen it and did he even see Martyrs? The Cannes buzz certainly makes me want to check out Antichrist.
