Frances Fisher (In the Valley of Elah) has signed on for The Roommate, portraying Leighton Meester’s mother. Lensing on the pic, written by Sonny Mallhi, has already begun in Los Angeles under helmer Christian Christiansen. She joins the previously cast Leighton Meester, Cam Gigandet, Minka Kelly, Aly Michalka and Matt Lanter that centers on Sara, a college student randomly assigned to a freshman dorm with a stranger named Rebecca. They start off as friends but things turn deadly as Rebecca begins to target people in Sara's life.
Actually worked on this movie as an extra two weeks ago. We were filming a bar scene in downtown LA. Pretty much seems like a WB teen remake of SINGLE WHITE FEMALE... Then past two days we were filming at a golf course in Pasadena doing a frat party scene.
