TV fanatics get ready for ABC's fall line-up, along with some new series in early 2010. What you can look forward to is the heavily covered "Eastwick", the remake of the popular 80's comedy The Witches of Eastwick, "Happy Town", along with the remake of "V". Promo trailers for all three series have found their way onto YouTube and are now embedded beyond the break for your enjoyment. Which are you looking forward to seeing?
For fuck sake, more remakes?! What happened to Kenneth Johnson's sequel to V? Why do they have to remake everything and why do you always have to cover it? Give some attention to the little films instead of always sucking up to the big studios!
Yeah I am a big fan of V, but they did a TV series before(after the 2 Mini series) and it sucked. I was hoping for a third installment like they were talking about doing. Plus you know half the people out there will think it's a rip off of ID4 when it's the exact opposite. Will see maybe they are using the same jumping off point ast the original series and then go a different way.
As a long time fan of the original "V"...I've been a little cautious about this remake. The first half of the preview was REALLY cheesy looking, but the second half showed promise. Especially the reveal that they're keeping the reptile's in disguise premise! Awesome!
Not sure about Eastwick, reminds me too much of Charmed, even though I loved Charmed. V looks very good. Happy Town looks interesting, reminded me of Everwood at the beginning. But should I get into these shows and for them to be eventually canceled?
I'm glad you showed something for Happy Town. I thought that was a comedy and didn't even read the description on their press release. Now I want to see it!
How fucking stupid for ABC to start off a promo that says 'From the network that brought you Twin Peaks'. Those morons treated the show like shit and then cancelled it before Lynch and Co. could wrap things up.
$50 says all three of these series get the same treatment, Happy Town being the first to go then V then Charmed Housewives.
V might have something not sure I will watch it though. Eastwick I was interested in, but dude they got to take over Jacks part is typical awful. I think they should have used someone darker somebody not trying to ooze sex but does naturally I think Julian Mcmahan from nip tuck would have been awesome in that part.
Just rewatched the V trailer and it looks fucking aweful. Full of OC-style pretty boys and girls, it's like watching the Friday the 13th remake all over again. That is gonna blow so hard!
I agree with Irish Mic, Eastwick could have been a lot better with Julian McMahon. Might help kill off Nip/Tuck as well which is just a trial these days.
