If you click on over to BDTV you can now watch the trailer for Dolan's Cadillac, the latest Stephen King adaptation that comes courtesy of the producers at Minds Eye Pictures. In addition, beyond the break you'll find a link to a ton of images, along with a new long synopsis for the film starring Christian Slater, Wes Bentley, Emmanuelle Vaugier and Simon Chin.
"Based on Stephen King’s eponymous short story, Dolan’s Cadillac is a dark tale of murderous and unrepentant revenge. A modern twist on the Edgar Allan Poe classic ‘The Cask of Amontillado,’ Dolan’s Cadillac proves that revenge really is a dish best served cold.
Robinson is a non-descript middle school teacher whose beloved wife, Elizabeth, witnesses an execution in the desert and becomes a target for the executioner, notorious Las Vegas crime boss Jimmy Dolan. Dolan’s vast wealth was accumulated through his human trafficking operation, a lucrative business he will not jeopardize.
The mobster succeeds in having Elizabeth killed before she can testify against him. Without a witness to the murders, Dolan goes free.
The Knowledge that Dolan is behind Elizabeth’s death fosters in Robinson an insatiable thirst for revenge. However, Dolan is virtually untouchable traveling only in his custom Cadillac with tank-like protection.
On a steep descent into madness, Robinson begins seeing visions of his dead wife wherever he goes. Spurred on by Elizabeth’s spectre, Robinson begins his elaborate plan to kill Jimmy Dolan.
The Cadillac that was once his armor may now become his tomb.
Looks kinda interesting. You can never tell when those two names are attached to a film. Christian Slater and Stephen King. They both have huge potential, but that potential doesn't always equate an awesome film.
I don't think the King and Slater connection bodes very well in this day and age. 20 years ago I would have begged borrowed and stolen to see this film. Now, not so much...
Meh, i don't know.. i feel like it could go either way. has anyone read the short story? does it look like the short story? haha alot was given away on that trailer.
Good news-Bad news.... You want to see the movie AND pretty much read the story without the hassle of taking the needed time???? Fret no more! check the trailer and guess what??? You're done!!! Some genius decided to tell you the whole story in merely minutes!!!!
..... I'm still watching the movie, though, this story it's one my King's favorites....
I wish the trailer didn't give so much away.. still I kind of want to see it.
