Lightning Media has acquired US rights to four new titles that the company plans to release theatrically in late 2009 and early 2010, one of which is a brand new horror spoof (just what we need) by the name of Diagnosis Death from producer Jason Stutter, along with the horror-thriller Clive Barker’s Book Of Blood from Essential Entertainment. Diagnosis Death is said to be reminiscent of the early work of Peter Jackson. It's the irreverent tale of two people undergoing a radical treatment for cancer. Locked in a medical facility over a weekend as guinea pigs for a drug trial, they discover the clinic may pose more harm than they could have imagined. The drugs cause hallucinations. Or are they seeing ghosts for real? Struggling with their senses, they must team up to solve a haunting secret.
