Now showing at this year's Cannes, and now on BDTV, is the new trailer for William Malone's Parasomnia. Starring Jeffrey Combs, the film is a horrifying love story about an art student who falls in with a sleeping beauty, only to find out too late that she holds a deadly secret. While the pic is up for sale at Cannes, the feature will behaving a special screening as part of Monsterpaloosa. Read on for the skinny.
Through special arrangement with Director William Malone, Monsterpalooza (Burbank, CA May 29-31) will be presenting an exclusive screening of his latest feature film PARASOMNIA.
Growing up in Michigan, William Malone always had a love for all things horror and things that go bump in the night.
In the mid 70's Malone found himself at Don Post Studios creating many organic, believable creatures that were sold as masks and display pieces to the public. Even today these pieces are very sought after in the collectors market.
Years later, Malone would pursue a career in film making directing features such as Warner Brothers House on Haunted Hill, Tales from the Crypt, Fear Dot Com and Masters of Horror.
With Parasomnia (Dreams of the Sleepwalker), William Malone's homage to the late Polish Surrealist Zdzislaw Beksinski, he offers us a rare opportunity to see this wonderfully dark horror tale of romance and death before its release!
hell yeah! Malone's always been hit and miss for me. But I luv most of his work more than I hated the few. Really Loved his MOH! I'm hoping that this return to his indie-filmmaking roots results in more original content in genre. The Beksinski artwork in the trailer was my first clue it would be different! fucking Beksinski is bad ass!! This one and Drag Me to Hell are my only hope for something new and fresh in the genre this year! I've been writing them since the Beksinski tribute they held over spring break, to have another screening, I want to be able to see Beksisnki's work 20ft high and 30ft wide before I saw it on my flat screen. Hey MrDisgusting, they are selling it for DVD release right? or Theatrical?
just view'd the trailer and this movie looks stunning.
