I read an article the other day that suggested Hillcoat's unhappiness at how ridiculous a misrepresentation the Weinstein's chosen marketing strategy was. The film is supposedly every bit as slow and sombre as the book, which to my mind is no bad thing at all. Let's just say that people who weren't impressed with the way that The Burrowers took its time are going to hate this, so to sell it as a Day after tomorrow esq blockbuster isn't the best idea. Theron apparantly has barely more than a cameo, they just seem to have shown most of it in the trailer. This should be an amazing film, Mortensen is always great and Hillcoat is a superb director, though a defiantly arthouse one. As long as the Weinstein's haven't messed with it we could be in for a classic.
