I know I should have hated this movie, but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Not the abomination some will inevitably make it out to be. Then again I'm only a casual fan of the original and not one of the diehards, so it was a bit easier to win me over. Still, I did think it would be really lame and even as someone who doesn't LOVE the original I thought it sounded like an abomination.

This film looks like an acne medication add and porn for the first hour, complete with obvious stereotypes, underage girls, corny dialogue (I'll give you a ride baby), and lots of shots that focus on what was on the director's mind... "I wish I could fuck this starlette". Its like some creepy old pedophile's PG-13 ode to little girls growing up. I'm glad there are 1000's of illegal torrents of this being seeded on sites already, because no one should have to pay for this cinematic abortion and shortcut to thinking.

Chris Fisher needs to go back to directing low rated tv episodes of Cold Case. He is out of his element and way over his head trying to progress this franchise. The film is literally so horrid and insulting to my intelligence, and so obvious with it's attempted homages to various elements of the original, that it almost cheapens the first film. It is a black hole of poor film making disguised and marketed as cult art. Don't be fooled.

I totally agree with you Rollstuhlwolf. There was no need for this movie.
