While scouring the web for footage to include in his advance review, BC stumbled across some promo footage from Anthony DiBlasi's Dread, the forthcoming adaptation of the popular short story from Clive Barker. Starring Jackson Rathbone from Twilight fame, Dread is a psychological thriller centering on three college students who study other people’s fears. As the study progresses, one of the students begins to seek salvation from his obsession by exploiting the terrors of his fellow participants.

Looks alright, I'm not typically impressed by "psychological thrillers"

I will wait on this one... I hate how other directors do films on a sucject, lets say the short story Dread, and still call it Clive Barkers. It kinda annoys me when its such a stretch from the original story. I have read the books of blood and i am a big fan of clive barker... So i just hope this film does justice to the story from clive.

Looks better than Midnight Meat Train.

Granted its been awhile since I read the story but aside from the fire axe and it being based on younger people I didnt see one thing that really reminded me of the story at all. And what I saw didnt interest me at all, the best parts were when barker was talking.

This is way different from the short story. Which is kind of a disappointment, because it was a really great story. I'll be seeing it anyway, it does look to be kind of promising.

I disagree on the midnight meat comment. Midnight meat train was brilliant, very dark and extremely well shot. This one looks good but I doubt it will be better. Then again this one might actually make it past the dollar theaters haha so I guess were both right SKratchy.

When I clicked the title of the article, I was expecting some new footage, but I saw this on youtube back in '08. I didn't know people here hadn't seen it; perhaps I should've posted it. Heh ... oh well.

This is one of Clive's best short stories... will be interesting to see it on film. If you haven't already I urge you to pick up books of blood pt.2 and read this one. Someone asked about the song, it's: Deftones: Lucky You

i think with the imagination of Clive Barker, this should be a rather interesting film. im down to see what's going on here.

I e-mailed you guys this link back around mid-December! I feel so... rejected in my findings. This movie doesn't look too promising anyway.

"Starring Jackson Rathbone from Twilight fame" To be honest, I've seen Twilight about 10 fucking times *someone kill me* because my fiance loves the books...and to be honest, I liked his performance in the movie. And he really shined in that shitty episode of Criminal Minds. For every Clive Barker project that blew my mind, there's been one that put me to sleep, so I'm not getting to amped up yet about this one
