TV Shows on DVD reports that the complete TV series "Werewolf" is finally coming to DVD thanks to Shout! Factory! - "they have penciled it in on their calendars for September 1st," the site writes. Special effects for transitions into a 7-foot-tall werewolf were done in this series by none other than Rick Baker, who was the man behind the ground-breaking transformations in An American Werewolf in London and was consulted for the makeup effects seen in The Howling. In the series, young Eric has been bitten by a werewolf. However, he's not particularly thrilled by this turn of affairs and wishes to escape his curse. To do so, he must find and kill the founder of his particular werewolf clan.

I've been waiting 23 years for this to be released on DVD! I watched it back in Grade 9 when it first aired and it was the first horror I'd seen besides Salem's Lot! (showing my age!) Hope they have really cleaned up the picture and audio, I saw the pilot about 1yr ago again VHS quality urgh. 23 eps at 1/2hr each. Still Janos Skorzeny FTW!

FINALLY!!!....I have waited so long for this show to finally come out on DVD. Not too many people remember it, but I always thought it had one of the BEST looking werewolf creature f/x ever! Like Kaname, I watched the debut of this and had to catch it every week, I was so dissappointed when it ended!

Kingofhorror...thanks for the info. The She-wolf of London I meant to say was the television series that ran for about 14 episode back in the 90's. I believe there was a second 6 episode season but under a different title.

this show was good, but it was kind of a rip on the hulk tv show.and the werewolf costume looked like a left over from the howling.

@ BloodyCape Well the creature effects were done by Rick Baker from memory. Yes the show did have the same format as The Hulk and The Fugitive but it was still good tv back then, one of the Fox Networks first shows. Werewolf was made by the creators of the A-Team cause they had free license to come up with a show after it's success and they wanted to do a horror format. Pity this only went for one season, and it gave way to Married with Children (which was good too I guess). There is that new werewolf tv show "Bitches" coming out, but I don't think it'll be anything like this.
