I had to do some serious digging to find out if this is something worth covering on Bloody-Disgusting, and to my delight, it's quite tasty! It was announced that the beautiful Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler) and Liv Tyler (The Strangers) will topline indie psychological thriller 10A/10B, a remake of the 1995 Korean horror film 301/302. Chul-soo Park will helm the adapted script of his original pic that will explore the relationship and consequences that result when a culinary perfectionist, portrayed by Tyler, and an actress with a failing career, played by Tomei, become neighbors in a loft apartment building. Filming will begin in Los Angeles on June 1. Beyond the break you can check out a more detailed synopsis of the original, along with the trailer! Dig in!
"This Korean horror movie offers a feminist twist in that it centers on two female protagonists living next door to each other in a high-rise apartment building. The title refers to their respective apartment numbers. The story opens as one of the women, a compulsive cook, is being questioned about the mysterious disappearance of her neighbor, the other woman, a traumatized writer suffering from anorexia nervosa. The two meet when the friendly cook tries to give the writer some of her newest creation. The writer later throws the food away. Still, a friendship is born, and as they converse, the tragic reasons for the writer's condition come to light. Dark secrets from the cook's past are also revealed. It is she who offers up the grisly final solution to the writer's guilt and continual pain." ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
Nice! Marisa Tomei is extremely gorgeous and great in what I've seen her, I also have a soft spot for Liv. If done right (although the words 'low budget' kind of worried me) this could be fantastic!
Must say that looks like it could be brilliant definately going to get the original and check it out and yeah Liv Tyler ever since Empire Records I have been a fan-will keep an eye out for it!
