this is one of John Carpenters worst movies and proof that even Master Carpenter can fail big time.

There is nothing wrong with the Donnie Darko or Die Hard Blu-Rays. Die Hard just looks great and it has almost all of the extras (aside from some bios and photo galleries), so I don't know what your complaint is there. Donnie Darko also sounds great and I thought it looked phenomenal, but the reason it might not have looked as good is because they shot it on film designed for low-light scenes, which gives it an unusual look. But the colors were amazing and detail was great, so I don't know what the complaint is. It also included both cuts of the film and the majority of the extras from the DVD versions (if you keep the old single-disc DVD, then you've got everything). Commando and Predator did suck though.

This movie is a childhood classic for me. I have it on DVD but don't know if I want to spend big bucks on a crappy blue ray.

Big Trouble In Little China is one of the greatest movies ever made.

Hey Mr. Disgusting, do you have a list of Blu-rays that look like up-converted DVDs? If so I would love to see it.

The Donnie Darko Director's cut dvd looks EXACTLY the same using an upconverting Samsung DVD player on a 120hz, 1080P, Touch of Color, 42 inch Samsung HDTV as the Donnie Darko Bluray that was given to me and played on my Samsung Bluray player or PS3. There is virtually no improvement in their transfer if you have good equipment and a good tv. So Mr.Disgusting is right about that one. Predator does look *marginally* better on Bluray thanks to some nice color tweaking. So FOX is in fact a little inconsistent with their Bluray releases.

Anyone who does not like "Big Trouble In Little China" should be punched in the face with a baseball bat. I already have the Louisvilkle slugger waiting for Leonard Maltin. >:(

Great hope Fox does justice to the transfer.
