In The Perfect Getaway, Steve Zahn will play a newlywed whose Hawaiian honeymoon becomes a nightmare when he and his bride (Milla Jovovich) are stalked by two killers (Timothy Olyphant). That's all we've been given for the latest genre effort from director David Twohy (Pitch Black). B-D reader Joey M. hit us up this evening with a link to a long synopsis posted by Universal that can be viewed beyond the break. The pic is slated for release on August 14th.
"Cliff and Cydney (Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich) are an adventurous young couple celebrating their honeymoon by backpacking to one of the most beautiful, and remote, beaches in Hawaii. Hiking the wild, secluded trails, they believe they’ve found paradise. But when the pair comes across a group of frightened hikers discussing the horrifying murder of another newlywed couple on the islands, they begin to question whether they should turn back.
Unsure whether to stay or flee, Cliff and Cydney join up with two other couples, and things begin to go terrifyingly wrong. Far from civilization or rescue, everyone begins to look like a threat and nobody knows whom to trust. Paradise becomes hell on earth as a brutal battle for survival begins…"
Oh, the synopsis is so misleading - I bet that no one will see the twist coming. The script was great and the movie should be very good. Now, where is the trailer?
Vepar, i agree. it's VERY misleading. i think the twist in this is REALLY cool. i didn't expect it when i read the script. over at SHOCK it says the trailer is supposed to be before DRAG ME TO HELL!
91DSMwSPL, don't let the synopsis turn you off of this movie. as VEPAR & I mention, it's misleading and NOT how it appears. i don't mean to sound cryptic i just don't want to ruin the movie. it's going to be pretty cool (and before i'm accused of it, i'm NOT a studio plant or shill! LOL).
