'Mandy Lane' Is Too Much of a Tease, Moving On....

At what point do you give up on a chick and kick her to the curb? That beautiful goddess known as Mandy Lane has given it up in every country except the United States. I think at this point there's no point in waiting for her. This afternoon Senator Distribution once again pulled All the Boys Love Mandy Lane from their slate after just giving it a July 17th release. The film is already available on DVD pretty much everywhere and I think it's safe to say most horror fans have already seen it. While it would be nice to see it in theaters, at what point do you move on and say, "see ya!"? I'm over her, I'll take a look at Jennifer's Body instead on September 18th.

Wow really? I definitely saw this film almost two years ago. Do they even want to make money on it, or are they just going to wait until literally everyone has downloaded it?

This has long since moved past the point of comical. Senator made a big mistake by making The Informers their first US theatrical release, as it was a tough sell to begin with. They should have went with this, as horror movies are always easier sells than an odd drama like that. Instead, they were forced to close their New York offices after The Informers flopped.

This entire movie, not just the domestic release date, was a cock tease. I watched it in its entirety, waiting for something exciting to happen; but as with any good lap dance, I ended up with blueballs. The movie was weak and the ending was bad, so they can keep their shitty flick.

Will everybody please shut up about ‘Many Lane’ already!!!! How did this below average film ever get so much undeserved buzz from genre fans all over the web. Every time the domestic release gets “rescheduled” (about half a dozen time since the pic’s premiere at TIFF’06) all these bloggers throw a hissy fit…. Let me say - once and for all - that this pic is nothing like the trailer (false advertising!!). As a genre fan, I approached Mandy Lane with high expectations – based on the trailer and festival buzz – and was rewarded with one of the most disappointing and boring attempts to recreate the feel/tone of our beloved 80s slashers. The film simply does not deserve a theatrical release (or any release). Anyone who still wants to see Mandy Lane should just order the DVD from Amazon UK (where it had a theatrical release last year) or simply download the damn thing. Either way, please shut up already. It’s 2009 and the pic is three years old!! Move on and get a life…

i have to admit, i thought the movie is WAYYYYYY overhyped. i found it boring, not scary OR gory. and aside from the ending (which i thought was kinda cool-ish) it was...MEH.

IDK I will DL it again. since sentae or w/e the fuck they are call are deuce bags and dont' want to ever release it. Shit it's not like it's fuckin martyars you know. COme the fuck on already

That's the problem djblack1313, the long a movie sites the more overhyped it becomes and the more disappointing it is. There's no way to live up to any hype unless it's The Dark Knight (or Martyrs in my opinion)

The movie isn't even worth getting upset over. Move on and look for better movies to get hyped about.

I agree with djblack1313. You aren't missing much. Saw this over a year ago, and it's not very good at all. I didn't understand the hype. It's boring, definitely not scary, and very very predictable. The "twist" is apparent about 15 minutes in. Mr D, I can assure you this is NOT in the same realm as Martyrs, not even the same planet.

As a 'lucky' English reader, I've already had the chance to see this film and it really isn't worth waiting for.

What the HELL are you people talking about? This was most definitely above the usual "slasher" flicks to have come out in years. This wasn't even a slasher, but more of a teen-thriller. To sum it all up, it's an intelligent thriller; a thinking-man's horror movie. I think the majority of you people who didn't think much of it DIDN'T get MUCH from it! There's A LOT of hidden messeges and deeper meanings to a lot of the things happening in the story of this film. This movie kicked so much ass on so many levels, it went right over your thick skulls! Amber heard is amazingly beautiful and the rest of the cats were never one-dimensinal! Complain, complain, complain. That's all you ppl like to do. RELAX. This movie rocked!!

...........and I would just like to add that when this film does gets it's release at the Bloor Cinema in Toronto, best believe I'll be there and the snobs who flunk this film will be there, too. That's how it works, that's how it always works. And nice to want to strya from Mandy Lane and move on to Jennifer's Body.........a film, might I add, that has gotten TERRIBLE reviews from it's test screenings!! You ppl and this site sure have a knack for picking great movies to hype up!!

I loved MANDY LANE. And even though I've seen it a few times, when it is finally released theatrically (if that ever happens), I'll be there to see it again on the big screen. I'm sure JENNIFER'S BODY will be really lame.
