Arriving on DVD June 16 from Malaprop Productions's is Little Red Riding Hood and Other Stories, which stars a 16-year-old Christina Ricci as a not-so-innocent Little Red Riding Hood in writer/director David Kaplans underground cult classic hailed by viewers as "breathtaking", "a masterpiece", "perfection", and "one of the greatest short films of all time". Newly released on DVD with two other extremely rare fairy tale short films, "The Frog King" and "Little Suck-a-Thumb". With narration by Quentin Crisp.
Looks like another sexual awakening film ala The Company of Wolves and Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, from some shots it seems to be inspired by both. Since I like nightmarish faerytales I'll give this one a look-see.
it looks like one of those porno films with fairytale themes!
but I'm glad they're no longer sugar-coating the storries and making them as they REALLY are. I'm def. checking this out!
